Where Should We Camp Next?: National Parks

Where Should We Camp Next? National Parks is a treasure trove of information to plan your National Park adventures. I appreciate the practical information to get the most out of your experience. Some of my favorites include: ✅Start at the Visitor Center ✅Get up early and go ✅Attend amphitheater talks and ranger programs ✅Get a picture by the National Park sign (I wish I had photos from my childhood visits to Acadia National Park with my mom) The book is broken up into regions so you can easily find the National Parks in the area you live or plan to visit. You will find helpful information for the parks, including an overview, campgrounds in and around the park and unique attractions. The highlights in the book vary so order this book now to find out where to eat, which gateway towns to meander through and where to hike and bike. You will also get tips on bringing your pets along for the adventure. The authors include book pairings for several destinations. When this book gets a second edition I would love book recommendations for all the parks. (I am talking to you, Jeremy Puglisi ). I love to learn about places before I visit and Where Should We Camp Next?: National Parks has me placing holds on books at my library. This book will make a wonderful gift for a family member or friend who loves to travel. I know my copy will be well loved as I plan National Park trips for years to come. Thank you Stephanie and Jeremy Puglisi for helping us plan trips that create memories which will last a lifetime.

I used this book to plan our stay in Mammoth National Park last year, and I plan to use it more in the future. It contains not only campgrounds within the parks, but options outside the park as well. Most national parks have no hookups, so if you don't want to dry camp, those outside-the-park campgrounds are probably what you want, and with so many available, it's nice that Jeremy and Stephanie have done the research to narrow down the choices a bit. Suggested activities, hikes, etc., are also included, so this is more than just a campground directory. If you have any of the other "Where Should We Camp Next?" books, you will be familiar with the format. If you like the book, you might also like the authors' RV Atlas podcast, which has a similar vibe.

Liked the insider details

This book is an invaluable resource for planning what to do and where to stay in and around our national parks. It provides tips for navigating the new norms of camping in a time with more people than ever getting out and camping. I found the first section was spot on with general recommendations for how to reserve and enjoy parks safely and efficiently. Each subsequent chapter covers the parks, touching on highlights of the parks, available campgrounds, and hiking trails. As I plan this year’s travel, I will definitely be rereading the sections on the individual parks. The information on each park, including recommended trails, is exactly what I research when deciding on a destination. The information is clearly presented and easy to read. Having listened to and learned from the authors’ podcast for a few years, I trust the content to be accurate. The content will be helpful for both novice and experienced campers. I would recommend this book to anyone with a camper or tent, interested in visiting the National Parks.

Once again Jeremy and Stephanie have written a book that is not only entertaining to read page by page it is an excellent camping resource and guide, this time a guide to planning camping trips to our National Parks. This book is so well organized and thought out - I love how the Table of Contents breaks down all the areas covered in the book so if you're just planning a trip out west to see the Grand Canyon you can skip right to that and continuously use this book to plan future trips. Whether you are planning your next trip or your first camping trip to any of the National Parks this is the perfect book for you. Where Should We Camp Next? National Parks is great for a newbie camper or for someone who has been camping for years. I have been to several of the National Parks in this country and I'm ready to go back now that I have read this book because the suggestions of things to do and what to see are so awesome I may have only scratched the surface on my first trip. Definitely, a must-read and a must-have resource for any camper who is looking to plan a trip to our National Parks.

I guess I should have read the details more closely, the spiral bound book isn't very big (5.5" x 8") but it works. My main issue with it is the fact that there are no maps included. The city and state are listed for each campground as well as web addresses, but it would have been really nice to have a map included in each section rather than having to look it up each time.

Have you ever read a travel book where the author's idea of travel is clearly out of your league or not even on the same planet? Well this book is NOT that. Jeremy and Stephanie have done it again- This book is RELATABLE. The present the info in complete, concise and open formats that allow the reader to then make the decision on what style of camping is right for your needs. This book includes overviews of the national parks, followed by camping options inside and outside the park. Then, the authors cover fun tip lists, interesting things about the area, ideas of things to do, etc. It is a great addition that can assist in your trip planning! This release was well timed for our family as we utilize our 4th grader's free National Park Pass!

Very nice book. Lots of places to camp. It provides lots of details regarding National Parks.
