I like this product overall. At first I thought the remote was junk but it just needs to be pointed DIRECTLY at the antenna that hangs from the box. I didn’t take this into account when hiding it away. The wall plug is very short, so keep in mind where you’re starting and routing everything before sticking to the wall. The adhesive, by the way, is very strong and very good. Easily no complaints there. The app has some color choices, color wheel, some themes, but it is admittedly a little annoying to navigate, save new presets, and had tons of trouble for no reason doing the initial setup and WiFi connection (worked on the 6th try). Pairing to music DOES NOT WORK despite the app saying you can. It asks you to play music which it listens to from your microphone, and supposedly syncs with it. Mine does nothing, but shows the music playing. All other functions seem to work within the app when the app wants to work. I wish more color options were on the Home Screen, especially a basic white. 4 stars because it works, and looks good in my apartment. The app does seem a little basic and leaves room to be desired. Have tried troubleshooting, but it frequently disconnects even when set next to my WiFi router. Need more easily accessible user control and a friendlier interface with more depth. Also need to work on connection issues. These do not work on 5ghz WiFi, only 2.4 according to the manual. I would buy again as when the app stops working I just use the remote. The length of the roll filled almost my entire living room and foyer

The included power cable is only about 2 ½ to 3 feet long, which for 99% of people is too short if you are planning on installing these around your cieling. Most outlets are 6 to 8 feet below the cieling, so you end up having to use some of the LED strip to reach the cieling and that ends up looking tacky and cheap. I would have given 5 stars if they had included a longer power cable and if the box didn't smell like chemicals. The reciever also can't use 9V or 24V power adapters either, because the lights just end up endlessly flashing and do not respond to the app or the remote. That part I do not understand as it should be able to convert 24V to 12V because the last set of LED lights used the same exact reviecer and worked just fine with my 24V power cord. Overall, this is definitely a "you get what you pay for" product, and I can only recommend if you either have a longer power cable or do not care about the low quality materials. I wont be buying another set from this company any time soon.EDIT: Bumping this up to 4 stars because of the app. It works very fast and can be turned colors that are not even on the remote. Only downside is that it requires wifi.

I purchased 100ft for my room. I believe my room is 9x12ft. I used one whole wheel, and about another 10ft of the second wheel.The Alexa integration is amazing. I have it set to my routines to turn off/on with my existing lights. Voice commands are instant, I just had to change the name of the device to something I could remember.The remote control has to be pointed at the white little box where the LED strips are plugged into, so it can be tricky to use the remote, but it’s not necessary with the app.The app, Tuya Smart, has so many configurations for colors. You can set one solid color, use a premade scene or create one, have flashing/strobe/breathing effects, or even connect the lights to music audio. The app has an option to integrate straight to Alexa or google, so you can skip the manual setup in the corresponding app!The adhesion is very similar to scotch double sided tape. It is not thick 3M tape. It sticks very well to painted walls, granted they are properly pressed firmly down on and not dusty. I highly doubt that when removing them they will leave a residue.They are not as bright as I expected, which is a good thing! There is a dimmer on the remote, and in the app. Great for us light sleepers who hate lights. Highly recommend these LED lights for those are tight on a budget!

These are definitely really cool. They are easy to set up (although it may take a while to get them in place) and after stick to the wall well. Is able to fully light up my bedroom without much of a problem. Only complaint, the remote control provided sometimes has trouble working (I don’t think the range of the signals it sends is very far).However, overall I would have to say that this product is a very good deal for the money and the app is amazing. So many different “themes” to choose from-very fun!I have had the regular non-Alexa compatible LED light version from the same seller, and the app used for these lights is evidently much better quality and works super well.Best part-no Alexa needed! Although it would probably make it even more fun, it also works just fine with the phone app.Overall, I would rate a 4.8 stars out of five stars, only for the sake of the remote control not always working. For the price, though, it would be unfair to expect it to be perfect. (rating rounded up to 5 stars since Amazon doesn’t allow fifths of a star).
