Do not buy this amp
I have never had an item like this in my 35 years in the Music Business. I have purchased 6 of the Pyle PT210's over the last 8 months. The first two worked fine, the next 6 quit in the first two days. I guess they didn't actually quit, they started sending our a high pitched squeal even when there were no sources hooked up to them. I know it was foolish of me to keep buying them but I assumed they would get the problem resolved as I continually sent amps back to Amazon. I was wrong. These amps are bad. Spend twice the money on an amp of a brand that works. I will no longer try to save money by purchasing these amplifiers. Do not buy this amp.

So far so good
I have only just begun using this item which is why I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5. I bought it to replace a less powerful system that wasn't enough to power the speaker system I had in place. This one seemed to do the trick and now the sound is plenty loud. It was very easy to setup and I like the multiple options for connecting the speakers as it gives you many ways to make it work for you. I'll revisit this review after i've been using it for a few months.

Adequate for my use
I use these amplifiers to power my dining room music solutions in my restaurants and they are more than adequate for that purpose this unit is virtually identical to the Pyramid PA-205 as they have the same manufacturer. That said I always just order whichever is cheaper. These are much cheaper and offer much better frequency response than the much more expensive ones I used to buy from Muzak or my Alarm Co. Just like the cheaper TV's some people seem to complain about early failure but we only plug electronics into line conditioned outlets and I haven't had any failures yet, however my oldest model is only three years old. We use them about 16 hours a day 363 days a year.

FOUND DISTORTION AT LOW VOLUME LEVEL
Amplifier Output terminals are the typical 4 ohms, 8 ohms, 16 ohms & 70V (which allows for a broad range of speaker configuration)On Testing, I fed music into the AUX input and came up with the following results:Normal Music Power: 25 - 30 Watts (approx.)I don't know wether I struck a bad batch, but the unit I received had quite a high level of distortion at low volume levels. At first, I thought it was due to the fact that the unit had received a lot of shock - shipped to Australia (perhaps it was badly treated during transit). Without thinking, I went to WAGNER ELECTRONIC SERVICES (WES) - My local electronics shop which I know and trust, sells good quality products. There I purchased and replaced the main transistors in the unit. That didn't make any difference. After a little while, I began to think that the distortion was due to a poor design - resulting in some degree of circuit instability. Fortunately, I managed to make some dodgy improvements to the fault I've found. However, I'm not sure wether this is just a one-off fault (my bad luck) or that they're all like that from factory. In the past I have found these cheap production electronic goods to have poor standards. (Compared to developed countries)... don't get me wrong - all I'm trying to say is that you get what you pay for!It all depends on the individual's needs and taste I suppose.I am happy to share experiences with other people. DOA
I bought this amp to power an arena for a County Fair. I went to set it up, and just barely heard the mic and the source with a bunch of fuzz and popping and wonderful pleasant electronics burning smell. I picked up the amp to get a better smell and heard something moving around in inside. I turned it over and a screw was missing. I figured it must have shorted out on the case or something damaged. So I returned it and amazon sent me a new one. I made the mistake of placing it on the shelf. Four months later, today, I had the thought I better check the amp. So I did, guess what, same thing, except this one there was no screw missing, it just burned, barely powered a speaker and hissed and popped. So, my mistake of not testing it right away is costing me. I recall my auto mechanic friend saying "just because it's new doesn't mean it works." Since I did not test it right away and amazon will not replace or return it I am now forced to go through Pyle's warranty service through Sound Around, Inc. Who is going to require I pay for shipping, pay them $25 to ship it back plus my time and the inconvenience. I know it was my fault. At this point I figure my time, plus the inconvenience and shipping charges, I am going to cut my losses and just throw it away. I have emailed Pyle and waiting on a response, so I am not throwing it away just yet.
