Amazon Basics Responsive and Precise 3-Button Wired USB Computer Mouse with Scrolling and Tracking, Single, Black

This was a really good value plug in mouse. I purchased this as the track pad on my laptop wasn't very responsive and I do lots of cutting and pasting. This is so easy to use. You just plug it in using the usb and it works straight away. It has a long cable which I dont think would be required with a laptop but useful for a PC. I would recommend this and you don't need batteries and no lag like a wireless one

Basic mouse that does what it's meant to. Rather good for the price.

I got this as a replacement for my "working from home" mouse, which had developed a phantom right-click problem, which was severely impacting my productivity. This mouse does the job but is noticeably smaller than the last one I had (a Logitech B100), and I'm still trying to get used to it. The buttons are quieter than the last one as well, but are pretty responsive. However, I don't have very large hands and this seems very small (my palm doesn't sit on the top of it in normal rest). When in use, I either have to move my hand up to rest my palm on the top of the mouse, or move my hand back to be able to click the buttons. It seems like it is more intended as a spare mouse for laptop users who need smaller accessories, than someone used to working with any larger mice in a normal office environment. For the price, it does what it needs to do. However, for anyone with medium/large hands, it would get uncomfortable trying to use it for extended period due to being unable to rest your hand on it and press the buttons at the same time. I will be more diligent on getting the right size of device on my next purchase.

But of course, that's about it. One shouldn't really expect more for such a cheap device and it does work. It does well enough for my work day, however I do find it smaller than a usual mouse, so it's been an adjustment no doubt. It's not the most accurate and there are instances where the device struggles. I'm not using it for gaming, but for work it's adequate. It has a nice middle ground for cursor speed and there's not much click noise, however it is there quieter than years gone by. Usb connection works fine with my work client and therefore recommend as a daily mouse for work.

My existing wired Logitech mouse, which I've had for a couple of years, still works but the USB connection and wire where it connects there is getting a bit loose so the mouse sometimes goes off in the middle of me doing something unless I wedge something under the USB connection to raise it up a bit and then it comes back on again. Still, that's a hassle and I decided to buy a replacement (and keep the Logitech one as a 'reserve') and ordered a wireless Tecknet one. BIG MISTAKE! That looked and felt OK but didn't work at all, no matter how many times I tried to make it work! So, I then decided to return it and get a refund issued but I looked for a decent wired mouse on here that wasn't overpriced and over-fiddly but that just worked and did the basics well. I decided to order this Amazon Basics one which, from the mainly positive reviews, seemed to fit the bill and what could go wrong with a fairly straightforward wired mouse? It not working AT ALL is what could go wrong! I took it out of its basics box, all excited that it would work fine, plugged it in and .. NOTHING. I noticed that the USB connection was very slightly loose in the USB point on my laptop so that it moved around very slightly when I touched it and tried re-inserting it. Still, nothing happened despite several tries. So, back that went as well and a refund was issued. HOWEVER, I liked the feel and design of this mouse so much that I ordered a replacement, hoping that that one worked - and it does. Hooray! I love it!! It's nicely sized, fairly slim, has a lovely soft touch with a silky smooth feel and it works very smoothly. It's an absolute bargain too. I'm so happy with it!

This mouse yet small, is low profile and fits well within the fingertips. has a very nice soft clicking feel and sound unlike the traditional long press + loud brass CLICK sound. I like this mouse.

The mouse works well and does exactly what I need. It offers good performance for the price. I'm satisfied with my purchase and think it's a good value for the money.
