THOMPSON & MORGAN Buddleia Tricolour Bush

Beautiful plant so far. It’s only a foot or so high now and still too young to flower but I’m very happy with how strong and healthy it is. I was sceptical buying a plant online but it came well packaged and just in need of a drink. Few hours after it was planted with some water it perked right up. If I’m being honest, the first plant unfortunately died a week or so after I bought it. I want to stress that I’m not sure why it died, it could’ve been a defective plant or perhaps something I did it’s hard to say, but after seeking the sellers advice about what may have happened they sent me a replacement plant without quibbling over why the original plant had died. And like I said, the replacement is strong and growing fast - as you’d expect from a buddleja). I will be buying from them again and can’t recommend enough

Wanted one of these for a while and took advantage of the special offer price to get one. Was a bit worried that some of the reviews mentioned receiving dried up or dying plants that had been in transit too long, and thought mine was going the same way when I had a dispatch note on a Monday saying it was due for delivery on the Friday. Pleasantly surprised that it turned up on the Wednesday morning. Well packaged in a box with the pot and plant base wrapped in plastic to retain moisture, soil still damp and delivered carefully so it stayed upright and totally undamaged. Not even a speck of escaped soil. Looks a strong, healthy little plant with plenty of leaves and I’m sure it will do well once planted out. Hoping for a good measure of each colour. Very happy so far.

Arrived quite a bit earlier than quoted so consequently I wasn't in to recieve it, I found the card, as it's signed for delivery, so went along to main post office to collect however I couldn't have it on the day as quote: "all the undelivered stuff is just thrown in a big pile so we won't know where it is yet" god bless the privatised Royal Mail!!! With that in mind I was expecting the worst however when I got it home the following day all was well thanks to the sturdy box it was packed in- my only complaint is that it was very dry, some of those moisture retaining balls in the soil might have helped but after a while in a bucket of water it soon picked up and is currently doing well in the garden where I planted it, no signs of disease or anything, a nice strong healthy plant- very pleased.

Arrived healthy and well watered even in 36 degree temperatures. I was dreading opening the box expecting a wilted plant so was pleasantly surprised how well it was packed.

Mixed results on this one. The first plant I bought was my first experience of buying plants online and I was hugely impressed with the beautiful, healthy plant that arrived. In the few weeks since I planted it in the garden it has thrived beyond my expectations. I was so impressed I bought a second plant. Not so happy, this time. The plant which arrived this morning is wilting, half the size of the first plant, and looking very sickly. Half its leaves are brown or black. The difference between the two is remarkable. I’ve planted it and can only wait and see if it recovers, but very disappointing considering how good my first experience with this seller was.

June 24th2019 This is my update to my review. It took a while of nurturing on my kitchen window sill. Slowly with baby bio, water and turning the plant each day so the sun reached the plant evenly. Then the weather was against planting outside. Eventually I braved the weather and planted the plant in a good size hole lined with compost. So far it is still alive and adapted to the outside. May I suggest the seller takes in account that it makes no difference if the entire box is marked Fragile etc, the sorters at which ever Distribution companies used, boxes will be thrown regardless. I will re-review at a later date if I am proved wrong. Plant arrived in transport shock. Pot bound Dead foliage Over watered. It is on my window sill to hopefully recover, but I suspect not. Ordered on strength of reviews. A large amount of money I can ill afford. But as now disabled and housebound the internet is my high street and I always follow the products reviews for guidance.

Very small, very immature , my local garden centre was much cheaper and the plant was much larger. Would not buy from this supplier again

I have been let down in the past when plants I’ve ordered arrive and don’t reflect the description. This order was better than described, a healthy well rooted plant secure in it’s pot and very well protected in the sturdy packaging. Plant has been repotted in its new home for an almost a week and is maintaining a healthy appearance, will buy again. Can’t wait to see it bloom. Very happy with this purchase.
