It's orange but.......
Yep. It inflates tyres. I use this to inflate motorcycle tyres after a puncture. I can't recall how many times I've used it in the last three years. It inflates up to an indicate 2.5 bar time and time again. It gets a little hot but I've inflated the same tyre up twice in reasonably quick succession when I bodged the first puncture repair and it worked without melting or losing puff. I bought one for my son to use on his motorcycle and had no issues with that compressor either. Not used as a regular pressure checker as I'm not sure it would last long if used weakly, let's be realistic about what you're getting for the price. However, as an occasionally used, compact, light and cheap emergency tyre inflator, I doubt you'll get better for a similar price. I bought several before settling on this model.

No different to the more expencive versions.
Cheap and compact pump for use from a cigarette lighter socket or direct from a battery - Probably. I bought this to keep on my motorcycle so storage was a concern. It works well but has some "issues" that require a workaround. The air pipe is stupidly short. I think that you will need to buy an extension. The power lead is also short. Good job its for a bike! I did come across one odd issue. My bike is fitted with a auto re-setting fuse box. something in the pump frequency caused the components to overhear and die. you wouldn't have this problem with an ordinary fusebox. Anyway its part of my touring kit and I will run it from the battery.

Compact and does the job
This great and compact little machine that does the job. Ideal for keeping in the boot.

Cheap rubbish
My own fault for not trying out when I bought it so it's now too late to return. Tried to use it today and it's dead as a Dodo. The light at the base came on but the compressor does nothing. Not a sound from it. Looking at the build quality (big gaps where it fits together) I am very surprised the RAC has put their name to it. Don't waste your money. There are plenty of alternatives.

Handy bit of kit
Small compact and ideal for getting you out of trouble.Handy to carry around in luggage and fix any punctures you may be unfortunate to get.would not recommend for full time use. But ideal to get you on the move to a garage.

Good unit
I use this for my motorbike. Easy to use, light is handy at times. Does the car tyres as well. Worth the money
