Unlike other tallow balms, Big Crazy Buffalo mixes its tallow with a few other soothing ingredients like shea butter, jojoba oil and peppermint oil -- and that last ingredient feels so so good on my skin, especially right after a bath.

I use this for my hands since I’m constantly washing them for work & unlike lotions the bison tallow penetrates the skin & stays on for a few washes in my experience. The scent is refreshing and invigorating and I get many compliments when I use it at work.

This is an interesting moisturizer. I’ve never used one that has been made from Buffalo tallow before. I like the feel of it and it does remind me of petroleum jelly. It is thicker than lotion obviously and you have to put a little bit of pressure to get it out of the tin. The scent is reminiscent of icy hot and it leaves a cooling sensation, which I don’t love. It has a peppermint smell to it and it does leave my skin feeling nicely moisturized. You get a decent amount of product and it’s compact enough to fit in my purse. The ingredients are minimal which is nice. A nice moisturizer to have. A bit expensive, but it is a specialty product. It works well on dry patches and it lasts on the skin and doesn’t wash off easily.

I wanted to love this product and desperately needed it, but it's almost more frustrating for me to use than anything. It has all these tiny "balls" when I use it and they don't blend or melt into the skin no matter how much I try to rub them in. It just becomes kind of stressful and annoying for me. I really needed this for my eczema, but ultimately have stopped using it because of these pesky little wax like balls getting everywhere. I have to wipe off my hands and trouble spots after application just to get them off because there are so many and by then it kind of defeats the purpose because it wipes off what little product I was able to rub in.

I bought the Body Balm because my hands tend to crack in the winter. The O'keeffe helped but cound never stop the thumbs from cracking anyway. Well the BBC Body Balm keeps the thumbs from cracking, worth every penny. I am not a fan of scented. The scent is sharp and good but I would rather smell like a Buffalo in the woods. Game changer for my skin! I have pretty dry skin and my face always feels dry in the morning despite using a thick cerave cream at night. I started adding this to the cerave cream and it’s made a huge difference. And the smell of mind is amazing

One more great product from the mighty Nebraska bison! I use it on my 30+ year old tattoos and it brings out the colors nicely.
