This DVD drive works perfect for what I need it for. I work in IT and sometimes I have to troubleshoot laptops that don't have CD/DVD drives. This works great because the USB chord is stored into the DVD drive so I can never lose it and will all ways be available when needed. Lightscribe is no longer supported by HP but I was able to find some 3rd party support for it. it cost me about $30 for the software but now I can burn custom lightscribe images on my CD/DVDs so I can put images on them for quick recognition, much faster then reading a bunch of DVD names. Overall a great product that I will buy again if need rises.

PC would not recognise this drive as a Lightscribe drive, so I returned it.

Drive worked perfectly.My primary objective was to add LightScribe to my Windows 10, Dell desktop.I have had a previous failure with a LightScribe external hard drive. With this drive, the desktop recognized it, selected a driver and LightScribe worked perfectly.The drive is not constructed very solidly, but is totally adequate. The price is right for good value

Nice ext. DVD writer. I was looking for a decent one that supports Lightscribe and USB 3.0. This does it all, and doesn't break the bank. Well worth it!

Been looking for a LS dvd burner since my other LS drive died. Love being able to burn labels on the discs.

I need a lightscribe DVD burner for my work, this one meets all my expectation.
