Where do you put the balls to make the correct measurement? Through the holds, or under the frame of the board? Amazing pics don't show this.

Had similar question when I looked at it as well. I put the ball under the front end of the boards. Helps to keep line straight if you have to move a board back to get the distance also.

Is this accurate for measuring distance between a set of tournament boards that have the frames tucked under the boards? Doesn't seem to be?

You just have to move the knots until you get the stretch worked out of the rope. It work ok for recreational to get everything within a few inches.
