RiedelVinum Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot

I've been using Riedel vinum glasses for a number of years now, and wouldn't consider any other brand.Personally, I find it hard to believe that anyone can tell the difference between wine served in a Riedel glass compared to a plastic cup. However, I think a beautiful, well made glass adds to the experience of enjoying a fine wine. These glasses will make it clear to your guests that you're pouring the good stuff!I purchased this set of two glasses to replace two that I broke. I've since learned the trick to not breaking them is to avoid twisting the stem/base while drying the glass. The joint between the stem and the glass is the weakest part, and twisting will put too much torque on this point.

We have use Reidel Vinum glasses for many years. The Vinum Bordeaux line is not only excellent for a Bordeaux, but it is also excellent for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In fact, you really can use them for any fine red wine. The shape allows for easy "swirls", to help the wine open up a bit, and for a check of the "nose" before that initial taste. The only drawback is they are somewhat delicate and they can be broken perhaps a bit more easily than many of the cheaper wine glasses that are on the market. As long as you handle them with care, they can last a long time.

The Riedel Vinum series is truly fantastic. I drink a lot of wine at home, varying from ~$10 per bottle to about $100, and no matter which bottle we open, we reach for these glasses. I know it sounds crazy before you use them, but they really do make every wine taste better than it would out of a standard glass. The quality is top notch, and the great thing about the Vinum series is that it truly is dishwasher safe. I have friends that are afraid to test it out, but I put mine in the dishwasher after every use, and have never had any problems.As a word to the wise though, even slight twisting motions of the base while you're gripping the bowl of the glass will result in breakage. The included literature is pretty clear about this, but it's worth restating. Do yourself a favor and buy these glasses. You won't be disappointed.

These are a lower quality Riedel Vinum glass. In fact, I am not sure they are even Vinum glasses. We have a large collection of these and bought 6 new ones to replace some that have broken over the years. These glasses were much lighter weight, stems are thinner and they do not feel the same. One of them even had an gross imperfection in the glass. We are returning all of them. Disappointed!

I refuse to consume my wines from anything but a proper glass. If I am ging to a restaurant and I know that they have improper stemware I am the guy that will shamelessly bring his own.That said this is an excellent daily drinking glass for most red varietals, especially bordeaux varietals. The bowl is of a good size, and although I wash mine by hand to maintain longevity you can toss these in the dishwasher.If you are looking for a fine glass that you can enjoy daily this is it. For those new to Riedel stemware this is where I suggest you start your collection.

These are huge glasses. Seriously, like half a bottle huge. Doesn't even fit in the top rack of the dishwasher huge...As you would expect, the crystal is perfect, and the shape really enhances the nose and flavor of the wine. The stem is super fine diameter, and makes me feel like it is going to break off occasionally, but it has held up well.If you need the extra room in your glass, or just love making your hands look hobbit-sized, this is the glass for you!

Había comprado el mismo artículo (con las mismas referencias, caja, designación y formato) en El Corte Inglés. Sin embargo, las copas compradas a través de amazon fueron bastante diferentes a las compradas en ECI. Los que se compraron a través de Amazon eran más gruesos y no eran totalmente transparentes como se esperaba con el vidrio nuevo). Así que solicité una devolución.

I ordered 2 vinum glasses which i gifted to my son. The glasss withofslightly different shapes... One was vinum but the other a different batch of cabernet glass

I wish they wouldn't break so easily, but they are the best.

Boire du bon vin, sans avoir des verres à la hauteur et surtout propres, manque de charme....Les verres sont de très bonne qualités et leur intérêt reside dans le fait de pouvoir mettre ces verres en cristal dans la machine sans problème.L'emballage est TOP et en fait un très beau cadi.

Ds Riedel Vinum Bordeaux ist ein sehr schönes zeitloses Rotwein-Glas. Wir haben es schon seit Jahren im Einsatz und müssen nur ab und zu ein Ersatzglas bestellen. Insgesamt ist das Glas sehr robust, aber beim intensiven Einsatz geht dann doch einmal eins kaputt. Wir trinken auch gerne einen Cabernet Sauvignon oder einen Merlot aus diesme Glas...
