Works perfect
Needed this to tap ground screw hole into metal box for kitchen stove. You need to deep box to accommodate the 8/3 wires but rarely do these extra deep boxes have ground humps at least the raco one I got did not. Anyways this little drill bit tap worked perfect first time right out the package. Very useful little tap to have if you do any electrical work especially with EMT and metal box applications. Great buy.

must have if you're installing metal electrical boxes
I'm remodeling and installed a bunch of metal junction boxes. Of course each box needs a ground screw and wire. Some boxes were not tapped right or the screw went in crooked and stripped the threads so a tap is needed to correct the problem. I had the Klein version of this drill-tap that came with a set but lost it and bought this as a replacement. I can't tell the difference between them.

it worked for me
Used this in an old Hilte battery operated drill; lubed it with cutting fluid, lubed metal that was pre-drilled to a similar but a bit smaller size, worked great. I did go slowly but not as carefully as I should have. Really impressed. Now I have a grounding screw for a 1/8" metal plate that's protecting some very thick electrical cable running behind the wall. :)

With oil, it woks great on 1/8" aluminum.
With oil, it woks great on 1/8" aluminum. Don't know how well it works on other materials.

Cheap
Broke on the first use. Not well made at all.

Very convenient tool
Very handy tool, only problem is they have a tendency to want to break in the heavier stuff. I did use them on material heavier than they were rated, so within spec they would probably perform perfectly.

Bad quality
Poor, snapped after less than 20 holes in mild steel.
