Q: Can this be used for grapes?

Probably. They are nice and sturdy. Easy to put in the ground.

Q: How long are the stakes? What are the dimentions of the grid? The total height is 64".

The entire product -- before inserting into the ground -- is 25" wide and 64" tall. The trellis work itself is 52" from top to bottom, with each side support on the right and left sides extending another 12 inches below the trellis work to serve as stakes into the ground.

Q: Can it be used with a strong vine like a bougainvillea?

Yes, it’s very strong and should hold up well.

Q: Can this trellis be inserted into the ground or soil for better support?

The two stakes that are part of the trellis insert easily into the ground. For additional support, we wired ours to a couple of nearby trellises.
