Its slightly heavier than a normal baseball but after a few throws you don't even notice it. The light is bright and makes it easy to play catch in pitch black. It may take a few throws for your depth perception to adjust so start slow if in actual dark. For me and my friends it was just as easy playing long hard catch with this in the dark as it is with a normal ball in day light. I have seen people saying it shorts on them or pops open but I haven't had any of those issues and we throw it hard. Its hit the ground many times in both dry and wet weather and continues to operate fine. One suggestion i have for pitch black catch is to strap a glow stick wrist band on your glove arm so you and your friends have targets to throw at if its dark enough out that you actually can't see each other but its not totally necessary if you have faith in your aim lol. I also get the issues people have with it not having a switch as I do believe they could have made it with a switch built onto the internal battery compartment but at the end of the day I have no real issue with the few seconds it takes to open and remove the battery. So to sum up its a fun durable light up baseball that me and my friends really enjoy. I would recommend this product.

Looks and feels great, especially in the dark. Still bright enough to see during the day. 2 cons1- is that it doesn't have an on and off switch. You have to pull the battery out, would if been great if they added a strap to pop it out. Have to find something small and hard to get battery out. To turn off light.2- the actual light insert itself, when you place into the ball and turn it into place. It became a bit loose, so it seems like it will pop out of the unit. I haven't had that happen and don't think it will. It just has a little wiggle room that's unexpected. Definitely a great eye catcher and able to play catch at night.

What an excellent and durable new-age training device that can be used 24/7. Just pop in the battery and it's a nicely lit LED baseball to throw in the dark. DO NOT HIT WITH A BAT. Great for throwing at night in low-level light or even complete darkness. Complete darkness throwing takes a few minutes to start judging the ball correctly but once you figure that out it makes you hyper-focused. I also noticed it consistently made me catch with two hands. My kids and I threw some different pitches. Couldn't believe how seeing the spin with a lighted ball gave an instant visual if the ball came out the way you wanted it to. We believe that is going to come in really handy for working pitches. We also liked working ground balls and especially scooping balls and backhands. Again, the lighted ball is giving an incredible visual image of how the ball is reacting. Enables you to really understand ball movement and get better in a new cool and very effective way, in our opinion. I'm a Dad of 3 boys, High School Coach for 22 years & an Elite Travel team manager. I only endorse products I believe truly make better baseball players. Spark Catch is a product that can produce results but only when used on a consistent basis.

My kids in the neighborhood kids use this to play at night. I lights up great and it’s so much fun. Perfect for a gift.

This is a really cool idea. Different feel than a normal baseball when you are throwing and catching it. The lights work well, but the switch on the battery location is really terrible and difficult to turn on and off. I didn’t even see it at first and thought you had to remove the batteries each time. It’s still difficult because even with the switch you still need to use the coin provided to open the light and turn it off, not as simple as it should be. As for durability. Time will tell. But it seems more like a novelty than someone meant to last.

It’s great, I really love it. It feels high-quality, real leather, and has the same weight as a baseball. I would love to see an option for interchangeable lights (since the illuminated part is removable), so it would be nice to have a set that includes a ball with 3 types of lights, or the option to buy the lights separately

This is such a cool baseball my son and I love to play catch. We live in Texas and it’s hot outside so this makes playing at night awesome.

It’s made for « soft pitches » on soft surfaces (grass). We tested it out without being careful at all and we really enjoyed it at night, it truly glows bright but hardly resisted the laser pitches we missed on gravel roads at the cabin between us 3 drunk brothers-in-law 😂!A bit pricy, but if you’re careful, it’s a cool gadget!

The ball and lighting are great the ball itself works great and feels like a real baseball. My son and I love it. We would use it a lot more if you find the on off switch. Company has to come up with a better way to turn it on and off. It’s extremely annoying even with the tiny on off switch only accessible when removing the battery case.Maybe a motion sensor like some other products would be a good solution.

Works very well. It takes a bit of time to get adjusted to the light. Best used at dusk when there is still a little light, and you can see the person you are throwing at. The "on" switch is small, but using a tooth pick or nail works well to activate. Feels like a real ball. Good quality. Used for a few hours with no problems yet.
