Excellent light with a huge (noisy) flaw.
I think most people using this will be lighting faces. I shoot a lot of quick setup dramatic scenes for actors - the idea of a fast, flat soft light was exciting - a lot of time and space taken up with rigging 3-foot octaboxes on COB lights in the past. The positives for this light are it's ease of use, rigging options and brilliant quality of light as a relatively soft source. Well worth the cost for the functionality - I use the colour match all the time to quickly sync with practicals that I either can't move or want to include. The sidus app is great and keeps me behind the camera. The RGB functionality is very handy too.My main issue is if you're shooting drama or dialogue - the control box has a fan and it is noisy. I've checked against other reviews/user's experiences - and it's noisy across the board, not just a one off. I don't just mean noisy for a small light either - it's as distracting as air-con. I've been using the extension lead you get in the kit to push the box as far from my talent as possible, but I'm still picking up low-level hiss and hum. Not too difficult to remove as it's constant/consistent - but still, a pain for a light costing almost £1k. If you don't mind either bouncing/flagging or softboxing, I'd probably recommend the amaran 300c - it's roughly the same output but in a COB format. Similar features, just a different type of light. I have both and I find I now have to decide how close that box will be to talent before I choose my lighting setup for the shoot.

Amazing light but with one major flaw
This lights would've been incredible if not for the terrible fan. I bought three for my studio, after spending weeks researching and watching every review on these lights I had to send all of them back. Including the two other F22x lights so overall 5. They would've been perfect for me BUT these lights are not suitable if you intend to use them in a working studio where sound is important. Because if it is, then these loud fans will ruin your audio and subsequently your high expectations as it did for me. I can't understand why these are promoted as these revolutionary studio lights which when they're working, they're impressive, but have the loudest fan built in therefore making them useless. My other aputure lights are even bigger and cost a little more and not a single fan noise. So if sound isn't important, these lights will impress you and do the job. But unfortunately for me, sound is. So very disappointed with them.

The Amaran F22c is a fantastic light I only received 1 of 2 ordered
The light is great! I ordered 2 at the same time on amazon prime, the order was split instantly and only 1 light has turned up.These are professional lights and are a fantastic addition to any shooting kit.Unfortunately for me, I now have to try and hire an extra light for a shoot tomorrow, this will cost me extra money and I have been told by amazon that it is now okay for me to apply for a refund. Why are companies allowed to promise products on prime but not deliver, this has happened a few times now, I cannot trust amazon prime to deliver professional purchases.... shame.

Great, portable light.
Fairly quick and easy to setup. The case just about fits into a large suitcase so you can put it in checked luggage if needed.
