Beautiful illustrations. The little windows were easy to open, even for young children. Each chocolate was an excellent size, shape, and flavor. Very fresh. These are the treasures I remember from my childhood, and it is very rewarding to help my grandchildren make some wonderful Christmas memories. Highly recommend (as in I will be buying these year after year).

First time buying a Madelaine chocolate product. Wanted to surprise and buy an advent calendar for two friends as a gift and didn’t want dollar store quality. I read a bit about Madelaine chocolate’s and was very impressed so decided to go for it. I purchased it online and had it shipped directly. It was as very difficult to choose which artwork/cover to purchase because they were all so adorable! I kept my fingers crossed that the chocolates were as delicious as the artwork was adorable. I was thrilled when I heard from both friends that the chocolates were delicious! This was their first ever advent calendar experience. So glad I went with Madelaine chocolates! Can’t wait to do this again next year !

The chocolate is good, But four stars, because there's nothing to look forward to each day as far as variety and surprise. Every chocolate is exactly the same. Just a small cube of milk chocolate. I ended up pulling out the tray and just taking one each day without searching for the correct corresponding day. What's the point when each one is exactly the same as the next?! The little poems on the inside of each door are cute, though.

I have purchased these every Christmas season for the past 4 years and they never disappoint. The kids enjoy opening each window and getting a piece of chocolate every day. The chocolate is also very good quality. The price is great and the product is top notch 10/10 recommend!

I started to buy this Advent calendar to keep the tradition going for my son at Christmas time even though he is older. I found it on Amazon because I didn't want to buy the cheap candy store ones that you get at the local pharmacy stores. Yes, it is a little pricier but you're paying for exclusive chocolate. I'm thinking it is a small business, and I have to say I'm so glad I stumbled upon it. It's absolutely delicious and the size of the chocolates in each Square is quite large! I turn the box around and I discovered it's made in Rockaway Beach New York! That was a double bonus for me because growing up I spent all my Summers living in Rockaway Beach and have very fond memories of doing so! So now I am doubly impressed and happy to buy these chocolates : )

I was hesitant to review this, because it pretty much is what you'd expect, a cheap thin cardboard box with a plastic insert. The perforated openings are somewhat hard to push open, and the cheap tasting chocolates are difficult to remove from the plastic. It does have little sayings on the inside of each little window, so that's a plus. Overall, not great. Chocolate isn't good (cheap tasting), and the overall thing is flimsy and cheap. I wouldn't recommend it, but it's pretty obvious that's what this is.

Advent calendars have been a part of my life since early childhood, but this year I forgot until just before the first Sunday of Advent (which happened to fall on December 1st this year, so the Advent calendar really did match up with Advent). Fortunately, Amazon had same-day delivery available for these calendars. The picture is cute, and everyone in the family agreed the chocolate tasted great. The rhymes on the flaps are nothing spectacular, but probably fun for little kids. All in all, a fine choice as you get ready for Christmas.
