Bernie Mev Women's, Gem Slip-On

Love this shoe! Have it in gold as well. This will make my 9th pair of BM shoes...all styles and colors! So comfortable and stylish. Great for work and travel. FYI...BM shoes run small. I normally wear a size 9, with all my other BM shoes, I needed size 41 (size 10.5-11.) Size 41 has always fit me perfectly, even the Gem Wedge, gold color that I currently own. So you can imagine my surprise when size 41 fit loosely when it arrived. Not so large that I can't live with it, so I'm keeping it, but I do think size 40 would be more accurate for the future....hope that helps with the sizing quandary in BM shoes, ugh!!!!

Other than the length of time it took to receive these shoes once ordered, I am very pleased with this purchase. I have ordered Bernie Mev shoes in the past, and just a recommendation for anyone who has bunions or hammertoes. Unfortunately, they do not seem to be readily available in a wide width and the medium width is a bit snug and irritating to the toes unless you add some sort of toe guards to protect from friction. With this purchase, I decided to try the next size up. I'm glad I did, because the toe bed is not quite as snug as in my regular size. This improves the comfort level. I also love the platform, which provides just the right amount of height, while also providing support. These are generally very comfortable shoes that are sleek and attractive on the foot and look great with skirts, dresses and slacks.

I have worn the same size shoe for a very long time, so I am comfortable buying shoes online. I do love this shoe, it is comfortable in every aspect except It could have been 1/2 size larger as because by the end of the work day (and I sit most of the day) my feet are feeling a little squished and I need to get the shoes off. I haven't had them long and I am going to try to stretch them out a little with a shoe stretcher. I will buy this brand again but go 1/2 to a full size larger.

I’ve worn Bernie Mev shoes for over 10 years and this is the first time that one has come undone after only having worn it a couple of times.

I have 2 other pairs of Bernie Mev shoes and I am fast becoming an addict. These Gem shoes are so perfect for me in warm weather when I'm wearing jeans or pants. Comfy, comfy & comfy!! They look absolutely chic on one's feet. Enjoy!!UPDATE:For those who say these are too small, well I find that very strange as I normally wear a 7.5 but with this shoe (and other Mev shoes) I wear a 37 which shows as 6.5-7. And they will stretch a bit. And whatever you do don't get them wet or wear them out when it might rain, because they will totally stretch out too much and there's not one thing you can do about it. I usually buy a new pair each year as late spring to late summer is pretty much all they can take.

Being an older woman with chronic back pain, I've been looking everywhere for a comfortable shoe with a wedge heel. I found Bernie Mev online at Nordstram's and loved the open toe sandal that I purchased. Now that winter is approaching I wanted a closed toe and found these in bronze on Amazon online. I am very short (5 ft) and need a heel so my pants won't drag on the ground. This shoe does it all. With the higher lift in the front of the shoe, the wedge heel is reduced, which makes walking a sheer delight. Sure, I miss my high heels but with these shoes I get a great look, love the stretch and the feel of walking on air. Only problem I've had with Bernie Mev is the slipping I get in the heel. My feet are very small (purchased the size 36) and my heels are very narrow so the slipping occurs with any shoe I purchase. I'm so glad I found Bernie Mev. Now us older ladies who have to give up high heels, sadly, can still have the look and comfort without giving up the lift that we want.

Pretty shoe but had to return because it ran way too small and narrow. I did not reorder.
