This is the first music stand I've had, so I can't compare it to any others, but I am happy with this purchase. It has a full back, which is more supportive, I think, than the ones with just a frame would be. There are good clips to hold loose pages and to keep the music book open. The height is adjustable for when I am sitting or standing. And it comes with its own carrying bags, but I haven't yet needed to disassemble it for travel. It was easy enough to put together, quite intuitive, so I don't think taking it apart and reassembling it would be difficult. But by far my favorite features of this stand are the violin and bow hooks, which allow me to keep my instrument out of the case while at home, within easy reach for practice. I've had no issues with it tilting over or coming apart, even though I have moved it around quite a bit at home. And, when the time comes to perform, I feel that this has a nice look to it, sturdy, solid.

This stand package is worthy of 5 stars on value alone. The stand itself is sufficiently sturdy for holding up a music book (in or so in thickness) and of course sheet music. We've not used the violin holder but even without using/needing that feature the value remains. The included accessories, including the light, work perfectly. Case may be a little thin but again, for the money we don't foresee any issues -- it is a bag for a music accessory, not sports equipment.

I love this music stand! It assembles and disassembles with such ease that I can take it with me anywhere I'm going to play music.The carry case makes it so much easier to transport opposed to not having a case. It's nice and lightweight so when you're juggling your instrument, music books, purse, etc. you will have no issues.It is very sturdy and can handle a good amount of weight on it. I've had a music book plus my tablet, which has music on it, and it holds up perfectly.The page holders have a good range of movement so if I have a book it will hold the pages, if i don't have a book I can put them under the book holder ledge and they are put of the way.Height wise, I've used it sitting on varying sized chairs and standing, I'm 5'3 and I have the stand at eye level. It can go taller than me and has so many settings for the height it's perfect for everyone.
