Is this headset made by logitech or buyer choice? i see from the picture that it is logitech but the description says, buyer choice. which one is it?

The is the original Logitech product.

Does it have a mute mic button specifically???

yes, the big round thing with a red light. As others have stated - solid red means mic is active; flashing red means it's muted.

I have the h390 and the cushioning on the ear pieces is starting to splitting. Can I purchase just the pads for the headphone ear pieces?

my google search string (could be yours): earpieces for logitech h390 Link with best results: https://www.amazon.com/Earpads-Logitech-Headphone-Replacement-Cushions/dp/B07VV9RN4V
