Will this work with bose music system IV?

I do not have a Bose IV. It works on my Bose 2 & 3. Probably pretty good bet it works on a Bose IV. I don't see much difference on the Bose 3 & 4. Did not have to set up remote at all. Just put batteries in. I've had the remote for 2 years trouble free

The two questions about battery size have two different answers. Anyone know for sure?

Battery size is a 2032. Most stores will carry these

Does remote need to be reprogrammed?

No, but the buttons are defective. I returned it.
