What the wiring??!!!
I love this gadget. I did buy it for protection from traffic and I did think there was an alarm on it a well. I installed it and could not figure out how to activate the alarm or simply accepted that it didn't have one. I don't really remember. However, today, sitting inside the Dunkin Donuts, resting, the alarm goes off! What?! That thing doesn't have an alarm. So, I figure it's my regular alarm. So, I shut it off. I still hear it. I sit it off again! Still, I hear it. I assumed it was not my bike (as I'm looking at it through the window). I go back to resting, thinking, I wish someone would shut that alarm off, I'm trying to rest, 😆 . It sounds just like some off alarms. Tens minutes later someone comes in and tells me my alarm is going off. What??! It doesn't have an alarm or I already shut it off, meaning the other one. I go out, and we'll the thing was going off like an alarm, only I didn't know how to shut it off 🤔 I'm pushing the buttons. I'm looking confused 😕. The last thing I try is tipping it forward. It goes off. But now! It just went off again! What the heap??! So, I unplug it, it stops. I must have hit the wire while tipping it. I hope that works for good. It's raining 🌧 I hope this is just a fluke. 🥴🧐

Solid construction and really loud.
Like probably most urban riders, I have had too many close calls with oblivious people. The little bell I used to use went ignored by most. I have been knocked right off my bike. But this horn is so loud people don't ignore it--maybe they think it is a truck coming up behind them. Very well-made. It mounts securely and the little button allows use without moving my hand off the bar. Great product I wish I had years ago.

Nice horn, button needs to be more visible.
This is a pretty nice horn. It's louder then other horns on the market so it's actually useful in traffic. Only downside is you can't see the button at night. Needs a glow in the dark outline or something. But otherwise, it's a great horn.

Holy Decibels, This Is Loud!
I'm new to bicycle riding and didn't want those dumb "ding ding" bells. This horn...is scary! It was easy to install but I did have to put a spacer on the inside mount so there is no wiggle on my handlebar. I personally will use the lower decibel "car horn" as its quiter than the 140 decibel alarm/chirp. There is a mode switch on the back of the horn and you press the button to cycle sounds. Trigger was easy and its recommended you coil wrap it around the handle bar towards the top as seen in my pictures. I haven't used it on any pedestrian or car but its nice to have. Again, the 140 decibel mode is no joke. Be sure to face the horn up so the sound goes over the persons ears as mounting the horn upside down will deafen them. Price seems to be on point, too.Do NOT test this in your house or closed garage like I did...

If you want a loud horn that works great for city riding this is the one.
If you want a loud horn that works great for city riding this is the one. Its easy to install and most importantly can be heard not only by pedestrians buy even by people inside vehicles. The reason for a horn is to let people know you are there and this horn does just that.

Gets the attention of drivers who see bicyclists but act like they don't
Great horn for bicycle commuters. Gets the attention of drivers who rush out of Costco without looking at the oncoming bike lane.

Not Loud Enough
Contrary to other reviews, this is not loud enough. I thought it was loud at first, but I don't think cars can hear it. It's not 140 decibels. That's false advertising. The cord from the button to the horn is kind of flimsy, but manageable. It broke less than a week after having it, but it was replaced, and it has held up. the interlock of the horn makes it easy to remove.

Cheap bracket, broke by second ride.
I didn't get to use this on the road so much as the mounting bracket must've snapped on my (night time) commute home. Arrived home to still have the button wrapped around one handlebar, disconnected from a missing horn. 0/5 stars, would not recommend if my life depended on it, because it did, I commute after dark and have no way of communicating with other vehicles otherwise. I just have to hope they pay attention enough to my lights
