the PageFlip Firefly is a GREAT product! I use the Firefly with my iPad ...
First of all, the PageFlip Firefly is a GREAT product! I use the Firefly with my iPad Pro running forScore. I play live gigs where I am singing, playing keys and guitar, and running another computer to trigger my background sequences. So, there is a lot to do, with my hands, between each song.Firefly allows me to easily page through each song with my foot. One less thing I have to think about, and the Firefly does the job, without me having to worry if it will work or not. It is that reliable! The Firefly works as advertised and it is a wonderful addition to my setup. The pedal is brilliantly designed. The physical layout has been intelligently configured with buttons and switches on the front and connection options on the backside. It comes with a quickstart guide for setup instructions.Reliability is the most important thing for my gig. The Firefly delivers flawlessly! I just step on the pedal and it turns the page I need to go to. There are also several options that allow you to configure the behavior of the pedal.Aside from the fact that the Firefly is awesome, I have to say that PageFlip's customer service is the BEST! This is the only review I have ever done, and it's because PageFlip deserves it.I had some questions, and I contacted PageFlip. Their response was quick and more helpful than I ever imagined. I love my pedal evenmore now!I would recommend the PageFlip Firefly over other brands anyday!

I love this little guy.
I agree with some who say they wish there was a little more tactile feedback when you successfully turn a page, but apart from that this unit has been perfect so far. I guess there is software with it but I have not needed to use it. I literally turned it on, paired it with my tablet, and used the switches the way they came from the factory and it works like a champ. Construction seems strong and its heavy enough to stay put but light enough to not add a lot of weight to your already bulging gig bag. It has a small footprint but the pedals are easy enough to find on a dark stage. Incidentally, you don't need one of those fancy sheet music programs...I have all my sheets on Word documents and when I need a new set list I use the "combine" feature of Adobe Acrobat and turn them into one pdf. I then use EZ PDF Reader Pro (get the Pro version) which is absolutely the best and most perfect pdf reader for navigating a songbook quickly and easily. I did a lot of research and trust me...this app has everything you need, including the fairly rare ability to view two facing pages simultaneously and turn pages with one touch of a finger. I also recommend the Ultimate Support JSMNT101 Universal iPad Holder...good price, does what you need. Boom...now you're ready to go.

Gets the job done!
Very easy to set up and use right out of the box. Seems very solid and I expect it wil last a long time. I like that it will automatically shut off to save battery life if I forget to turn it off. It takes a little time to get used to the correct pressure on the pedal to activate page turning but not too difficult to learn and get used to. If setting on a slippery floor it might be well to place over a piece of carpet or other material so it doesn’t slide away as you press (I am using it on a slippery wood floor). Overall very pleased with the price, easy set up and good value for the money. I am using it to turn my music pages loaded into my Onsong application on my iPad while I play guitar.

Great product and even better customer service! I had a problem and called their number, George picked up and talks to you like a real person. What a mensch!Of course it was user error. Worked like a charm after i did the steps George recommended.

Godsend
The PageFlip Firefly BT pedal is a godsend to musicians using digital score readers. It makes page-turning an absolute breeze, almost like the score’s pages are effortlessly turning themselves. This pedal has removed much of my stress during public piano performances. I find it superior to the AirTurn pedal in several ways.As a classical pianist who practices several hours a day, I had been using the AirTurn pedal for about two years. I switched to the PageFlip Firefly about six months ago. I’ve used both pedals with the forScore and Newzik score-reading apps.Advantages, in no particular order, of the PageFlip Firefly over the AirTurn:The PageFlip Firefly is less finicky than the AirTurn. I no longer have to worry about inadvertently turning two pages at once; The PageFlip is easier to find with my foot. The shape of the pedal matches the shape and angle of my foot on the floor. The lightly-corrugated, rather than slick, surface feels more secure; The PageFlip BT pairing mechanism is simple, straightforward, and immediate, whereas the AirTurn is more complex and can be very frustrating to attempt to pair; The PageFlip is more substantial, seems better-made, and seems not to slide on the floor so much;My experience with customer support for the PageFlip (when I wanted to re-program certain pedal functions) was outstanding. My experience with AirTurn’s customer service (when I had trouble pairing with my iPad a couple of times, and once when the pedal failed) varied from excellent to horrible, depending on whom I reached. In the past several months, several of my amateur and professional friends, colleagues, and musical partners have upgraded from the AirTurn to the PageFlip Firefly; they express general agreement about superior functionality.Usage TIP:You can make the process almost effortless—and avoid unnecessary movement, stress, and musical disruption—by resting your foot on the PageFlip pedal itself, rather than on the u.c. (pianists), the floor, or perched at an angle above the pedal. Before you start playing the piece, rest your foot (all the way down) on the Firefly pedal, it turns the score to p.2. Don’t move your foot, and use your finger to tap the iPad to turn back to p. 1. Keep your foot down as you start playing. To turn each page, lift your foot up a bit, then lower it all the way to rest on the pedal again until the next page turn.(Note: For this to work, the Repeat switch on the pedal must be in the off position.)
