It says 'requires processing by powering pos'. what does that mean?

In order to purchase the device, you will need to set up a processing account with the company that fulfills your order. Many companies sell using this listing. You will need to work with them to gather the additional information necessary to set up a merchant account. Clover requires that you purchase the device from the company that provides the processing. Clover devices can not be provisioned to a new or different processor.

What is the credit card percentage for processing? And is there any other set up cost other than the Clover monthly software fee?

The standard processing plan for Clover is 2.69% + $0.10 per transaction with a $10 per month account fee. For businesses that have, or can reasonably expect to have a higher volume of transactions, custom pricing is available.

Can I buy this clover station and use it with my merchant company?

No you have to use powering pos .. the shipment comes with instructions on who to contact for merchant processing application

BEWARE!!

We bought a Clover system and within 4 Months they had completely locked us out. We paid over $2500 and it's been collecting dust for years because they said the credit card processing is exclusive with first data and because first data left BOA we had to either buy a completely new Clover System!

Hidden fees, 3 year leases, difficult customer service

We have 2 Clover systems at separate locations, the systems do not integrate which means separate inventories, invoicing. Etc. Every 3 years you sign a new lease to get equipment that they will continue supporting, if you have an issue customer service is very difficult and horrendously time consuming. Features are app based with cost even more per month. We are moving to a US web based system which we own the equipment so no crazy 3 year lease, no foriegn crappy customer service, both locations will be integrated, etc... Clover was a huge mistake for us.
