Q: What color is the background? rust? orange? other? thank you

Hi - as you know, there are two sides to the screen; the side with the structure with people has a more subtle background, with more brownish/orangeish coloring. the side with the birds is more of a peachy/orangey with variations that change - so it's not a solid color background - a little brighter than the other side. I love mine. I have it between 2 rooms so I enjoy both sides. I have lots of wood and it goes well with that. It's easy to lift if you would want to vary the sides yet it is substantial too. It's hard to exactly describe the coloration, but I hope my attempt was helpful.

Q: Anyone knows what does it say on the panels?

On the front is a simple, subtle, black ink Sumi-e style painting of a bamboo tree, with Japanese characters and a red ownership "chop" stamp in the lower left. On the back is the Sang Luan Tie, or the Note of Distress and Indignation, written by the "Sage of Calligraphy" Wang Xizhi. These simple, elegant works of East-Asian art will provide you with lovely interior design elements for your living room, bedroom, dining room, or kitchen. This three panel screen has different images on each side, as shown.

Q: Question for the manufacturer since buyers are stating the paint bleeds. Is the print protected by any kind of sealer? If not, what's recommend it.

Hello, The Printed on canvas dividers are not waterproof. They are meant to be used indoor use only. It does not have a sealer on it. You can try using any layer of waterproof coverage on the screen or seek help from the local hardware store, they may have ideas. However, please note that we do not customize any item.

Yes the hinges on this divider swing in both directions.
