I love the idea of this mate cup--it keeps plenty of hot water in the reservoir, and is easy to tote around. However, I've found that the metal straw is not of the best quality and has a tendency to bend and dent. All of the parts are made of plastic, and the straw is a bit flimsy.However, this is a great product if you want something cheap and portable to haul around your mate in, and you don't mind to replace it after a year or so.

This looks like its made of recycled birthday cake decorations seriously im no scientist but this plastic is so cheap the idea of drinking anything let alone a hot beverage conjures visions of mouth cancer last time i bought something this cheaply made i was 5 & didnt know any better....well im 39 now so no thanks also this is as portable as a table saw! The lid doesnt attatch to the "thermos"at all! Look, i donr know what a thermos is in paraguayan, but in america its an insulated!!! Bottle with a fricken screw on LEAK proof top! Not a metal tube inside a plastic cup with a loose fitting second smaller cup that SITS on top with a pot metal uncleanable "bombilla" this looks like it was designed by the mentally challenged wait come to think of it ive bought way better crafted items made by down syndrome children! And they didnt even have a factory! YerbaMate.us has stainless steel, aluminum or ptfe free plastic sports bottles with the "ultimate bombilla" included for a fraction of the cost! (shipping sux but order big for chrisrmas comes in flatrate postal box awesome if u buy pounds of mate....sux if u buy one sports bottle :/

Broke after a week of use. No bueno guys, not for the price.
