I purchased this piano for my granddaughter for Christmas. It was so simple to put together. My granddaughter is only 9 months but loves this piano. Granted the sound is that of a xylophone, but it sure makes her happy to press the keys and make sounds. She sits on the stool and I don’t need to worry that it will tip. The stool is very sturdy. The look of the whole piano is just adorable and the quality is excellent.

My granddtr (1) loved keyboard before I could get out of box. Perfect size for either to sit and play; they both used the bench right away. Super easy to assemble. Not so great: Color coded strip is nice to learn to read; however, the quality of the strip on the piano is flimsy.. Sound is not like our full size piano; it is a little "tinney". PERFECT TO LEARN ON...

Got this piano for my daughters 2nd birthday and she absolutely ADORES IT!!!The sound reminds me of a similar toy piano I had as a kid and let me just comment on this since I see so much negativity around it-ITS A TOY.This is not meant to sound like a grand piano. If you’re looking for a more realistic piano sound, you aren’t going to find it for this price! Guarantee it.For the price, this is such a fantastic toy and it’s such a cute addition to our home.

Wow, when I read a reviewer who said this sound terrible, I thought "snob". But OMG he is so right. This does not play music. Every note is way off! Every key makes a weak, clunky sound. Let's just say the 8 key xylophone from Toy R Us sounds way better. Zero exaggeration.Now the ugly part is out of the way, it's a very pretty toy. Wood is shinny and sturdy. The multicolor notes above the key is very loosely glued cardboard, glued on top and side only, kinda flap around. My toddler will tear it off in no time.So it's fine for my one year old to pound on and looks pretty in his room. You can fake it with this one. But don't have any illusions anything sound like music gonna come out of this.

This is a pretty, four-legged piano with helpful color-coded keys. We purchased it as our big "Santa" gift to my daughter for Christmas. It arrived quickly and was extremely easy to put together. My daughter, who is almost 5, was delighted when she saw it and enjoys tinkering on it. I suppose our only complaint is that it does not really sound like a piano. It is definitely a toy and sound like one. Overall, though, we're happy with our purchase.Update....we had twin boys last year. This toy is the first thing the (now) one year-olds want to see when they wake up and run in the play room. They love banging on it and making "music" and the keys are not too loud as to drive everyone crazy. It is apparently sturdy enough to handle the delightful hammering of two small boys. We still love it!

This is a nice piano for 1+ year olds. Both our son (almost 3y) and daughter (1.5y) play with it. After an initial week of intense use, they now both enjoy playing the piano from time to time (not to mention climbing on it..). Once they are a bit older, it will probably be possible to make them play the songs, as are provided in the accompanying booklet. Sound quality is a bit steel, but this is a play piano anyway!

I am so damn disappointed in this. Got this for my little mans bday and of course he’s so happy to be able to play like his grandma does, but out of the box it was a mess.First off Came with a broken key and the keys arent even straight or really in place at all. They shift all over the place...second the letters on above the piano arent glued down and I would have to glue the thing on, if I was going to keep it. Sound quality is so subpar for something that cost as much as it does. This product is only this expensive cause it’s real wood. I will say the construction of the wood is amazing but the actual thing it’s supposed to do is seriously sad.

This Melissa & Doug Grand Piano was my daughter’s first piano at four years old. It taught her piano key basics which she now uses to learn more advanced piano keys as a teen on her keyboard. This set is incredibly durable; we still have the stool (since 2008), and all of my family uses it daily to reach items in the kitchen cabinets.The only thing that I felt needed improvement was the cardboard with the key letters; it is placed behind the keys and does not stay on very well. However, nowadays it is easy to find quality piano letter stickers on Amazon.

The piano is well-made. The keys when played give a nice tone - not loud and jarring. Sounds like a piano (on the hollow side, which is expected). Grand-daughter is delighted with it. A good base for learning to play the piano. We had looked at the electronic key boards but they came with too many gadgety features which were distracting. Yes - very happy to find this item, also reasonably priced and good quality!!

The Amazon shipping/Over packaging was not damaged but when opened for Christmas, Product's packaging was damaged and appeared to have been opened before, i.e. not new possibly returned before.. After assembling atleast two keys at right end of the key board don't work/sound correctly, one makes almost no sound.Product was supposed to be new but appears to have been returned.....not happy
