Does it hopp

I am unable to open the battery compartment. Can someone give me a clue how to ooen it? Ive tried and tried to slide it as indicated with no luck.

I have a similar product but I have an attached cord and button.Can this bunny be connected to a button to activate it from a distance?

Does it activate as soon as you flip the "On" switch? Or do you push a button to get it to activate?
