When i order this item, why have i twice received a smaller and very different style of net? how can i receive this actual net? the 7x7 baseball net

I would return the SKLZ net and get something else like a Powernet. I had issues with this SKLZ net when I bought it too. First one came with a hole in the net and the second one came with a much cheaper bag and the net came with rope hooks instead of the plastic connections. The net itself was much thinner too. It looks like SKLZ has been cutting cost on their products but not updating the product images.

What style net (5x5 or 7x7) would be a better choice for a 9 year old working on batting drills in the backyard?

Either would work, but personally, I would go for the 7x7 for even batting off of a Tee. Then, I'd use the 5 x 5 for placing at first base and running fielding drills from third, short, and second.

What are the dimensions and weight when collapsed? I want to be able to fit it into a suitcase to bring with me when I travel (by air) for the summer?

I have the 5 x 5 size and it is 40 inch long x 8 inch at the widest point when it is in the bag. The weight is 9 pounds.
