I love this book. However some of the instructions were confusing but that was probably I am not the most experienced knitter. But love these critters.

This is a great book. The patterns are easy to follow and the animals are adorable. I’ve made the fox and the horse so far and plan on making MANY more.

I already own and made several animals from Louise Crowther’s other book, Knitted Animal Friends. They turned out so well that I was excited to see that she was about to publish Knitted Wild Animal Friends. I pre-ordered the book and loved the new designs. Unfortunately, due to my busy life I am only now getting around or making the raccoon from the new book.Like her original book, the patterns are easy to follow. They follow the same basic animal pattern and clothing/animal sizes in both books. I love that the outfits are interchangeable between animals. These are some of my very favorite patterns. The animals turn out just like shown in the photo. I sold several of the original animals, but I have two left that are promised to a customer, as you will see in my photo.I highly recommend this book. I have been knitting for most of my life, but I believe that an intermediate or advanced knitter would enjoy making the animals from this book.I encourage you to buy it and make a special keepsake for the child in your life.

I have this author’s other friends books that are heavily used. Was thrilled to find that “wild animals” book was coming and just could not imagine her topping her other books. Well, well, this book is fantastic. The animals are extremely adorable, the clothes (as usual) are delightful. And the best part is that the clothes are interchangeable.The animals are similar basic shapes and both the instructions and photographs are well laid out and logical. Can’t wait to see these toys popping-up on Ravelry and social media. A delight for all. What will she come up with next??

Great book! I also have her other book Knitted Animal Friends. I am making animals to donate and they are adorable. The books are for intermediate and advanced knitters. I haven't knitted in 40 years but it hasn't stopped me from trying challenging things. I can't wait to start making animals from her Knitted Wild Animal Friends book.

These are not fast to make, but all the little details, clothes , shoes,etc are worth it. I hope she writes another one!

Fantastic patterns and visual explanations, have created a little family of animals. Others have now purchased these books to knit their own tribe

I love this pattern book and I definitely recommend to those who are familiar with knitting. I started knitting over a year ago and I was able to follow the patterns. Considering how many patterns are in this book, from the animals to the outfits its definitely good bang for your book. I don't think the explanations are confusing and were fairly easy to understand, even the soles of the shoe I was able to follow and I'd never done that sort of stitches before. I started with a fairly simple pattern, the bear and loved it. Already on another and I bought the farm toy book and have started George the Dog too.I did find 2.75mm needles too fiddly so I'm using 3mm while I get the hang of it. And I did have to weigh the pages down as the book would close but it was a very minor inconvenience, it wouldn't put me off buying again.
