Fragile some what, and instructions not great ..
First; Because this items weighs a great deal, I let it ride in the bed of my ATV versus carrying it. Still though, its a $1000+ plus dollar tool, so I drove carefully, not banging the tool or the ATV around. Within 5 such trips (5 t-posts, first week of owning the tool), the control handle (hard plastic) was shattered/unusable and in need of total replacement. I had the local chainsaw shop do the repair, and had them weld on an extra hand guard to protect the plastic piece.Second; (I'm not recalling the exact part names), there is a 'bit' which goes in the drive tube. This bit can go in one of two ways. One way and it looks like the tool is working poorly. Other way, and the tool works much better. Just be aware.

Best grand I've spent in a long time!!
This is a post driving son of a gun! If it weren't so cold natured, I'd have given it 5 stars... But then, I got the 2 cycle version instead of the 4 cycle with the "Honda" engine... That would have likely solved my problem. The Honda powered version is heavier though and this sucker is HEAVY after a hundred or so t-Posts one after the other! It leaks a bit of oil, but no worse than a typical chain saw. Just be aware of it if you lay it down where any oil stains may cause a problem. Operational, it's not an issue.

I have used this on about 40 t-post. It will drive them 2' deep in 30 seconds in hard clay soil. My helper thinks it would drive them into concrete!!.You will need to make a fitting to go over larger post as it only fits T-post. Over-all it saved me a lot of time.

Better off hiring PeeWee Herman with a ball peen hammer
We were initially excited when we received our gas powered post driver and were ready to get to work installing perimeter fencing around a recently purchased 5 acre parcel. That excitement was short lived. We began with some 4” round posts and couldn’t even get them 2” into the ground. We then switched adapters and tried placing 5.5’ T posts. The machine was able to install T posts, but was so underpowered and slow that the “benefit” of a powered driver in no way justified the $1000+ cost of the machine. We then began the harrowing process of returning a piece of equipment that was underpowered and unable to complete the specific job for which it was purchased. After several unreturned phone calls over a 2+ week period, we received an email informing us that we were being charged a $154.50 restocking fee (pretty decent pay to put a box back on a shelf), and additional charges for $206.89 for “failed pick up attempts” with UPS. A restocking fee for an underpowered unit that Skidril will put back on the shelf and resell to the next sucker at full list price, and exorbitant shipping costs for a package that sat at the end of my driveway for 3+ days awaiting pick up, what a load of crap!In the end, our refund will amount to a paltry 60% of our purchase price and will be small compensation for poor product performance, nearly non-existent communications, and abysmal customer service.I will be dissuading anyone who will listen from purchasing any Skidril products for their fence installation needs.

Not all T-post will fit the driver
Got the unit and started to set t-post.Found out that a lot of my T-post won't fit inside the tube.Hopefully they make a hammer and tube that is a little larger. However, on their web site, it does not look like they sell any options to increase or decrease the size of anvil.Have to keep the manual post drive along in case the t-post doesn't fit. Kind of defeats the purpose of owning this unit. The hammer/anvil looks like it will fit either way. However, it only works one way.The manual is very poor. The Honda engine book is 30 pages and their manual is a little pamphlet. Which is very poor. For example, there is a little screw next to the throttle, I have not figure out what is suppose to do or it use. This unit is useless on T-post grater than 6'. You need to take a ladder with you unless your 8 feet tall.It will drive a t-post and the post are solidly in the ground. We have had to pull some post back out and it is a lot more effort with the one driven with this unit that the ones manual driven

Operators manual is almost non existant, very vague. I contacted skidril, but no one called me back. After using the unit on my 3rd T post, the unit turned off. The vibration turns off the cheap plastic kill switch on the handle.I have to hold the switch so that it won't turn off, and operate the throttle all with one hand as well as engage the throttle enable. What a pain, I plan to glue or tape the on-off switch to the on position. The unit seems well built except for the plastic controls.
