Great Product
I almost ordered the Bose S1 for $599. Then I saw this product that was 4 times less expensive! Great sound and appointments. I played my Gibson J35 acoustic electric guitar through it and sounded just like playing it through my Fender Amp! Very impressive little speaker and well worth the price for what I need it for! Now I can take my guitar and speaker to the boat and play without having my amp. Great product! And the Blue tooth works and sounds great as well.

Pitiful Sound Quality
I wanted to like this speaker. Bought it thinking, how bad could it be? Turns out, pretty bad. The sound was weak and lacked anything in the lower register. I cannot think of a good use case for these speakers. There are cheaper or similarly priced consumer options that offer much better sound quality. For professional use (for which I foolishly wanted these) they are absolutely unacceptable.Just a note: I wound up going with JBLs of a similar feature set and have been blown away by those. They are more expensive but well worth the price tag.

Versatile size / shape
Great sounding highs!! I purchased due to the specific array design of the mid/high drivers. Lows or bass was a little disappointing especially because the air leaks from within the cabinet around the grill mounts (I had to open it and seal these gaps with a glue to eliminate this issue) After the self repair it functioned much better. Battery charge light would also just flicker both colors until fully charged (a little strange) but did function. Even with these small issues the value is still there compared to other units in this price category.

Excellent PA
This system has similar features as the Bose S1 Pro at a lower cost. First impressions is that it is well made and seems durable. The Bluetooth connected within a couple seconds to my Iphone 11. I also connected a Senheisser Mic to the Mic/Line input and tested the sound quality with the reverb. The reverb seems to work very good. I connected my Little Martin into the Aux input and it works perfect as a guitar input. As for overall sound quality I would have to say is outstanding, not Bose quality, but compared to other portable PA systems that I own or have owned, this unit is great for what I would use it for. This would also be a great busking amp.If you like the Bose S1 Pro platform but not the $$$, this would be a great alternative.

Pretty Package with lots of potential….
I purchased TWO of these to use at cocktail hours and outdoor events where space and power are limited. The units are very clean and professional looking, however the generic badging that SoundTown decided to use takes away from the overall look of the speaker. These systems are designed to look like a famous maker S1 series speaker and it does a good job mimicking the system. Small & compact, light weight and lots of inputs and features. IT DOES NOT however have the same speaker set up inside. The famous maker S1 has a 6.5” driver with 3 line array midrange/tweeters. The SoundTown Carpo S1 has a 8” woofer and a 2” compression driver (horn). Now one would think that this is a good thing, larger woofer = more “base” output. Well I can tell you side by side the Famous maker S1 sound is FULLER, DEEPER, LOUDER and CLEARER. The Carpo S1 has a more MIDbase vibe to the sound. While still very clear the 8”woofer will bottom out quicker than the 6.5” on the Famous Maker S1. The Clarity is not as good as the famous maker S1 but still very good for what it is.Now that I have managed your expectations, let’s talk about the CARPO s1 in real world terms. You are not buying a $550+ speaker. You are getting a little more than what you pay for here. The CARPO S1 has a good sound, it’s lacking on the bottom end and fullness. If one would pair this with a 12” subwoofer that had a good crossover the user would be very happy. The main reason everyone gets this is to use it where there is no power, in remote places or for PA (mostly speaking vocals) and such. One could get away with using these are speakers for a cocktail hour where you will be playing dinner music, classical stuff and easy listening. Anything with lots of low end or deep bass notes and you will hear just how limited the 8” woofer really is in the set up.There features are nice on the unit, pretty typical of the off shore speakers systems out now, It’s a generic amp plate that has a MP3 player with SD card slots and a FM radio. The Bluetooth system is very nice. Much better than the other systems out there, hooks up simple and the voice that says “connected” is more European vs Asian, if you have had any bluetooth speaker set up that speaks a confirmation that you’re hooked up, you know what i mean. The True Sync Wireless is nice. Also easy to set up and the link is solid. Again, very nice for placing speakers about the room where power is limited. Bass and treble adjustments on the speaker are standard pots, same as the volume on the line and the mic.Overall the the sound is nice, lacking on the bottom end and fullness. You can get good volume out of it, plenty for a cocktail hour or a small room venue. Paired with a Subwoofer with a crossover, these are very nice. I would not suggest you use these outside without a Subwoofer if you plan to play any kind of music at volume. you and your guests will be disappointed. This will make for a great portable speaker/PA system for camps, businesses, carnivals, boardwalk stores/games, public speaking.I will post updates as i get more use out of them.
