SoundcraftNotepad 5 Mixing Console

I bought this compact little mixer to use with my own IEMs on fly out one-off gigs .5 inputs allow 2 stereo feeds from 2 keyboards plus an XLR feed with a basic band mix from the monitor desk . I send a stereo feed out to FOH (with the channel receiving the monitor return set to zero so I don't send that back !) and then send a stereo feed to my IEMs using the monitor send. Voila - I can mix my keyboards and the band in my IEMs to my liking. And it so small it can fit in your luggage easily , though I wish there was a carrying case available.Only downside is that the power supply has a separate transformer, which I usually hate , but in this instance is an acceptable compromise give compact size being a key consideration.Great sound and functionality in such a small unit, and a great price.

it was such a pain to get this working on a PC to record music and use a mic.This product is NOT compatible with windows 10, you have to jump through hoops to download the drivers for this thing.Spend a little bit more money on somthing else

I bought this for my son since I all ready have couple of the larger 12FX and I'm very happy with them. The 5 is very basic but sounds just as good. USB function works flawlessly and on Win 7, 10, 32 or 64 bit with the Soundcraft provided driver. Both of my 12FX blew up but have been fine since replacements so I hope this 5 mixer will not follow the same low quality control path, hence the 4 stars, otherwise best small mixers one can buy.
