Great book
Another excellent crime thriller based around the Fens. Lots to keep the reader going whether it’s the developing relationships, the banter between characters or strong descriptions of the scenery all build to enhance a strong plot.

Exceptional read.
What sort of mind comes up with a story like this, it feels very real. I am left feeling that this is a book based on actual fact and not just a book of fiction. Brilliant.

Interesting plot
Unlike most of her other books there are not lots and lots of murders. The plot is different and very interesting, well thought out and keeps your attention as a result.

Very enjoyable 😁
Joy Ellis invariably writes an excellent tale and The Fourth Friend is no exception. The is episode #3 in her Jackman and Evans series. I first read this some 5 years ago and I enjoyed revisiting it thanks to Kindle Unlimited.A police detective is the only survivor of a plane crash that kills his four best friends. On his return to work he is full of guilt and has horrific flashbacks. So, for each of his four friends, he decides to complete an endeavour that they didn't finish. If you like like Joy Ellis mysteries, you'll enjoy this one too 😁👌😁

Lots of twists and turns, superb ending,
Enjoyed this book, great story right from the start, lots of stories within the story, all connected in some way but although I thought I had an idea what would happen, more twist enabled a very good ending. If you enjoy this author this story won't let you down. Read and enjoy.
