Shadowland

This was a very happy transaction . The price was sane and the shipping was like lightning . Very pleased indeed .

Genius. I was fortunate enough to catch the Shadowland live show in Austin, TX (SXSW) and it was perhaps the greatest show I've seen (the other being "The Talking Light"). Sadly enough but to a standing ovation, Chuck officially retired from touring at this show.

The Residents prove they are still way ahead of the curve. Music as art and entertainment that pushes the boundaries. They may be 'oldies', but they are not stuck in the past.

Absolutely fantastic set of tunes. It is crazy to think that some of these songs are nearly 40 years old. The Residents breath such freshness into songs running the gamut through their 40+ years of doing their thing. Randy's screams and growls are spot on, and deliver a crazy intensity to these songs. Bob's guitar is brilliantly used in a cutting, yet sparingly fashion, accenting the beautiful madness spewed forth from Chuck. This is a high energy release from the Rz, unrelenting in its ferocious passion, grabbing you close and holding you tight till the end. Cheers, here here, and here to another forty years!

This is an intense set, a hard-driving rock set by The Residents that borders on the conventional but is still uniquely TR. I enjoyed it a lot done live but like one of the fans at an early metal show by Dylan, I had to let it settle in to know that I enjoyed it. Now that I've listened to the recording, I am solidly pleased. Get it. You can't go wrong.

sono un vecchio fan dei residents e della vecchia ralph, sono sempre stati fra i pochi geni della musica contemporanea. Ora però si stanno incartando su se stessi, disco minore piacevole ma sinceramente il riascolto diventa un po' difficile

Une merveilleuse soirée immortalisée en album. Musique d'avant-garde, hors-classement, très classe.Dommage que les petites histoires entre les morceaux ne soient pas présentes sur ce CD.
