These switches on Porsche are known to be a weak point as the plastics age - mine is 15 years old. This is a direct replacement and is indistinguishable from the original. If you are fitting yourself it is easy. The kick plate must be removed first and it is held on by two 4mm allen screws buried deep behind small grommets. Evrything else is just clip fit.

I took a chance on this as it was less than 20% of the cost of a genuine Porsche part, it works perfectly and the only difference is that it doesn’t have “made in Germany” and the part number written on it.

I went to the local agent to replace Front Bonnet & Rear Boot Cover Release Switch. I thought OMG why so expensive. I went on line amazon purchased the device. It took to 20 Minutes to fit. It works perfect and saved me a lot of money in labor charges etc highly recommended.

I've bought OEM at three times the price in the past, this doesn't look, feel or work any different, works just as well right out of the box
