Nice looking stove looks great and works well, but adjustment tool is lacking
Bought this unit to replace a double burner propane stove on our sailboat which is no longer made. It was a close fit, and I liked the fact that the ignition piezo is battery operated and doesn't need 110v, which means I don't need to use a lighter to light the burners. Because this unit is a little smaller, I cut a 1/8" black plexiglass frame about .25" larger on all sides to serve as a base. The unit looks very handsome installed.Because I am using propane, I swapped the installed burner orifices (or "jets") with the alternate propane orifices included with the stove per the instructions, using a socket screwdriver. It was no big deal. I inserted the battery. The piezo igniter didn't work. Turned the battery around and they worked fine.Installed without major incident, though I had to buy an adapter to fit my propane (3/8") hose fitting from the propane tank. I used the included washers with the included gas elbow fitting, and also sealed all fittings with yellow gas tape (not white teflon plumbers tape). I checked for leaks with smell and soapy water at fittings. All good.Flipped on the propane and fired it up. The larger burner is very powerful, and boils coffee considerably faster than my old stove. No problems with both burners ignited at the same time. The major problem I'm having, and hence the four stars, is adjusting the low burner setting. There is almost no decrease in flame from full to lowest setting, most probably because it was set up for natural gas and I'm using propane, which burns hotter. The instructions say the low flame adjustment is a tiny screw inside the shaft that the burner adjustment knob slides onto. And therein lies the problem. To reach that screw, you need a *very* thin, very long shaft flathead screwdriver. The standard cheapo 5 tiny screwdriver set you bought at Walmart or Radio Shack won't work, because the screwdriver shafts are not long enough to reach the screw. So I bought another set on Amazon that seemed to have longer shafts, only to find the screwdriver shafts are just a tad too thick to fit inside the hole of the shaft. Grrrrr. So now once again, I have to hunt around for a screwdriver that will work.Since this is a required tool for this stove that I doubt many folks will have in their toolbox, I feel the manufacturer or seller should have included a tool you can make this necessary adjustment with in the package.Update Sep 2018: I purchased a 3mm screwdriver on Amazon, because the instructions said a 3mm would work. It didn't. Too fat. Double grrr. So I bought this 2mm screwdriver: https://www.amazon.com/Dynamite-Screwdriver-2mm-Flat/dp/B000BQ1SJU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1537908611&sr=8-1&keywords=Dynamite+Screwdriver+2mmFinally, it fit the knob shaft hole (wipe that silly grin off your face) and I was able to reduce the low setting burner flame, and the unit is working great.Again, the manufacturer/seller should include a little tool they could make for $.29 with the kit to do this.Update 3/16/22: After 4 years on our sailboat in the salty environment, the stove still works great, but the burner caps started showing some rust spots. A call to Ramblewood quickly had replacements on the way. The stove has stood the test of time in a harsh environment, and Ramblewood demonstrated great customer support. Upgraded to 5 stars.

Beautiful stainless steel finish but please install the 2 included washers in the elbow connectors or you're gonna have a prob!
Stainless steel finish looks great and doesn't feel cheap. Aesthetically beautiful but has a major flaw if you don't fix it.The problem stems from the connection of the gas line in your house to the inlet on the range using the elbow connector. You might, like I did, connect the gas line to the inlet using the elbow connector and think you did a great job. You'll turn one of the knobs, get a fire going in one of the burners, and see fire coming out of one of the knobs. This is very dangerous and almost made me want to return the damn thing.I called support (they respond quickly and my support experience was great) and was told to install the 2 washers that were included with the range.Install these washers in the female end of the elbow connector (the part the connects to the gas inlet on the range). This eliminates any gas leaks under one of the knobs and the unit works perfectly!Once you get that down, the range is great.

Awful awful awful
DO NOT BUY ANY RAMBLEWOOD COOKTOPS. The stove doesn’t work well, the description on Amazon is inaccurate, and customer service took over a week to get through to. Full story below! Our experience has been horrible. I ordered this cooktop in July when my husband and I renovated our RV. We hit some delays so we didn’t get to install the two burner propane cooktop till a few months later.Right away we realized it wasn’t right, the flames were shooting way to high and orange. It left soot on the bottoms of our pans. This was because despite the Amazon description SAYING it was a propane/natural gas stove, they meant it was only natural gas.We went back and forth with customer service for days, because of the time difference. Finally we got through by email and they sent us the correct size nozzles. But we couldn’t get the original natural gas ones off because they were screwed on too tight. After a week of on and off working on it, and buying a special tool my husband got them off. But even with the proper nozzle this stove is awful. It basically only has medium high and high heat, so things burn quickly. I emailed the company asking if there was any way we could do an exchange or refund after all this trouble, but they’ve ignored me. I would suggest doing business with just about anybody else. Bought an electric cooktop for a quarter of the price and it works fine.

Great for compact outdoor kitchen
Installed this in outdoor kitchen on a covered deck. Works well and looks nice. It does need 120V to operate so plan for that in addition to the gas line. Burners are not super powerful and also don't go super low for simmering, but for the price it is fine. Looks well made and came with detailed instructions. Also includes dual sets of different colored knobs. Ours was set into a (recycled) stainless steel countertop from the 1950s and looks like a custom design. May post video and photos later. Would recommend this to anyone. Originally planned to install the Acme burners but they are no longer available - this is a good alternative.Update after a few months of use: Still really like this. Easy to clean. If it gets more than about 5mph windy, it can blow out, so I may have a wind shield made out of stainless sheet. That has not happened often enough to be a big issue. it gets used almost every day now that nice weather is here. Very glad we installed this!

Great stove
I’ve been using this in my camper for a while now. Love the stove. Works great. Only negative is they painted the thread on the stove making it very hard to tighten the elbow. However, if you have the correct tools it is easy.

Gas inlet not compatible
The gas inlet on this unit does not thread on to any correct gas lines. The threading is incompatible with any gas components where I am located in Canada, despite the sticker on the underside of the unit stating it is approved for use in Canada.I would request a refund were it not for it being too late.Otherwise it seems like a well build stove.

the unit is very good but the regulator did not work
the unit is very good but the regulator did not work . I did the change over ( to propane ) as per instructions but it was to unsafe to use so rather then send the complete unit back I got a new bbq regulator from my local CTC store for $ 27 and all works as it should . yes I would like to have a reimbursementfor what I had to buy so it would work as advertiseddave

little beauty!
Needed a small gas top burner for our basement kitchen. Works great. No problems after more than a year of usage.
