cheap looking and smaller than i thought

I was a little disappointed - they came looking more cheap and it was more like wood with black pain, rather than real chalkboards. Some also had a hard time standing up. You need THIN chalk to write on these. They are small (can fit in your palm). Nice concept, but these were simple "okay."

We used these easels as part of our cupcake display at our wedding. We used chalk markers for the writing and they looked fantastic. The only downside was that some of the easels would not stay standing up on a smooth surface and would fall flat. However, they would stay up if placed on a fabric or tablecloth.

These chalkboards were great as small gifts for friends. I used a chalk marker to write on them, then (because I wanted it permanently set), used clear spray paint on top. The board sit level on a flat surface and are perfect place holders at an event. I would definitely order these again.

I really like these place card. But the constructions is a light flimsy and a few of them have broken.
