Review: Good album that Martina's fans will surely enjoy - It's a good album from Martina McBride that will be enjoyed by her fans (like me). She is in fine singing form, though many of the songs, while perfectly fine pop/country songs, are pretty ordinary, though pleasantly enough they are written for grown-ups. My two favorite songs are "It Ain't Pretty," a narrative about a woman getting over a broken romance by going out on a Saturday night, and "You and You Alone" which is just Martina and a piano, showcasing her beautiful voice and considerable singing skill. I'm a glad that Martina avoided overly sappy/maudlin songs, and I also appreciate the understated production values which allow Martina's voice to shine through. Regarding some other issues: The CD box was shattered when I received it, so I will have to find another box. And the art? Martina has the loveliest blue eyes that you'll ever see, yet in most of the photos her eyes are hidden.
