Very useful for at home oil changes.
This drain valve makes doing your own oil changes at home very simple. Drain the oil with a simple flip and turn of a switch. It's all made of metal and very sturdy. No more painful breaker bars to open that drain bolt anymore. Just lift your car, set your drain pan, and flip that switch. It's as simple as that. Once it's done, flip that drain switch to close it up, and that's it! Change out the oil filter, fill in the new oil, and you're done. Zero mess. The only downside to using this is that the oil draining out of it is a lot slower, as the outlet hole is smaller. I usually just leave it to drain for about 10-15 minutes while I go do something else. Highly recommended to avoid the cleanup and the chore of getting that drain bolt off every single time.

Game-changer for oil changes!
This fumoto valve is a fantastic find for anyone who does their own vehicle maintenance. With a 14mm-1.5 thread size, it fits perfectly on my honda civic 2015 and has made my oil changes significantly easier. I'm looking forward to the next oil change, knowing it'll be a breeze, rather than relying on mechanics. A solid investment for DIY car enthusiasts!

F106SX fits 3rd gen Honda Pilot
The original F106N model doesn’t fit the 3rd gen 2016 Honda Pilot without an adapter because it’s one solid piece and the lever hits the oil pan when it’s tightened. The new F106SX fits without any adapter because it’s two parts that swivel, allowing you to hold the nozzle and lever away from the oil plan while the bolt is tightened.Pointing the nozzle straight down makes it lower than the oil pan and seems like it might increase the risk of damage over time. I pointed it diagonally towards the oil filter increasing clearance and making the mess radius smaller.Although the nozzle is short on the SX model, a 3/8” ID (1/2” OD) clear vinyl tube fits nice and snug without any extra adapter or clamp allowing to drain straight into a jug.Although this valve makes the oil draining easier, the messiest part of an oil change is removing the oil filter, so the cleanup is only slightly less. Still worth the upgrade for anyone that changes the oil on their own.Haven’t used it for draining the oil yet and can’t comment on the durability or any issues but will update this post later as needed.

Great device. Wouldn’t be without one now.
Why all cars don’t come with these already installed is beyond me.I’ve had this one on my car for 5 1/2 years. 150 thousand miles. Have never had anyone but myself change the oil. This thing makes oil changes much more predictable, and astronomically less likely to spell oil all over the place (although I manage to do that most of the time anyway). The only drawback is the little blue clip that comes with it. Just today, the thing snapped in half as I was trying to put it back on. I got five years out of it, which isn’t bad, but now it is a little unnerving that I would have no preventative measure in place to help prevent the valve accidentally getting knocked open and oil leaking out. But, the way this valve is made, I think the chance of that is very slim. You would have to hit something on the bottom of your car in almost an exact way for the little lever, which has a locking mechanism, to spring open and allow oil to leak out.Overall… Amazing little device, and I’ll never own a car without one again.
