Great for Holding the SwagTron EB-8 Electric Bicycle on an indoor mechanic's bike rack
.The Rhino Rack Bike Steel Bar Adapter is nice and strong per many other customer reviews.Although the Rhino can be used for motor vehicle bike racks, the following regards its repeated use with an INDOOR bike rack where the Working Load of the UNLOADED E-bike is much lighter than on a bike rack that is attached to a moving and bouncing vehicle.TIPS:1. REMOVE THE E-BIKE'S BATTERY to help keep its weight under the maximum load weight of the Rhino Rack;2. Make sure your seat post clamp/screw and other E-bike screws are secure beforehand;3. Use a safety rope/strong bungee around connecting the Rhino and the frame of your E-bike, just in case;4. If you are still concerned about your E-Bike falling and getting damaged use a folding chair under the rear wheel then adjust your bike stand to a height of where your folding chair just barely makes contact with the rear wheel. (The folding chair will also serve as type of bump-guard to help prevent folks from bumping into the elevated E-bike.5. In your calculation of total weight (Dead Weight) of your E-bike on the Rhino adapter account for any additional weight of any Slime in your tires, too.Stay Safe,...GhillieMan

Good but low weight rating.
At a 35 lbs. rating, this product and many others like it are not rated for e-bikes. My e-bike weighs 45 lbs. and the only adapter bar I could find with a sufficient rating was too long. Other than that, it seems very well made and strong (and just barely long enough). I plan to only use it for mounting my e-bike in a maintenance stand so I assume it will handle the weight for this purpose. It seems that the manufactures haven't kept pace with the rapidly expanding e-bike popularity.

Great Design, Very Rugged
Compared to other bar adapters, the sliding mechanism to open and close the ends is a better design than the more common scissor mechanism. The bar is also more durable and rugged compared to other adapters we have used.
