We have other holders of this type in another brand. Simply lifting the roll makes it easier to change them. The fact that it has two connections with the wall makes it sturdier when someone uses it to stand up too.This holder, however, instead of lifting at the end of the bar, lifts with the knob. That knob isn't so small. You can hardly fit the roll over that end and have to push, wiggle and bend to get it on.Sorry, it's a poor design. I really don't recommend it.

Over the years, I have installed multiple toilet paper holders that have set screws. The set screws always had a slot (called a 'blade-type' slot) for a common regular screwdriver, albeit a screwdriver with a very thin head. This was the first time I installed a toilet paper holder that required an Allen wrench because the set screw opening could only be tightened with the Allen wrench. With a simple slot head, the set screw was always a breeze to tighten. I found it to be a rather difficult to contort myself to tighten the set screw when it was on the wall.In addition, the enclosed instructions only include recommendations for installation into sheetrock with or without wall studs. How about include instructions for installation into ceramic tile??

As always with such hidden bracket devices, leveling takes some attention to detail, but is hardly critical. My only caveat, the back side of the U-channel pivoting bracket is less than smoothly finished, leaving a rather rough and sharp metal edge, which I smoothed with some sandpaper prior to installation. I used 4 screw-in plastic drywall anchors (no studs in the location chosen) and the result seems very sturdy, although Delta advises that the device should not be used as a grab handle, something discouraged by the presence of the toilet paper roll. I had no problem slipping the roll's core over the knob-end handle, despite the protestations of other buyers.

I am completely surprised at how beautiful this piece is. I realize it is only a toilet paper holder but the finish is beautiful and it is a very heavy, solid piece and looks very, very expensive. This little change makes the bathroom look so much more "polished" -- I really can't believe the difference between products. You won't be disappointed with this one.

This product is HORRIBLE! Please do not waste your money. I used to have a similar holder that was sturdy and amazing, but this design is very poor. The part that swings open is way too heavy, causing the whole piece to become loose from the wall. A total waste of money.

First my installer had a hard time trying to line and screw in the plates, took him a while and he has years of experience, he was not friendly towards the product. Also the knob(s) on the 'swing' arm is BIG, almost too big to allow the toilet roll to be placed onto the roller, It will but with effort..............don't think I would buy this again nor do I recommend it overall.

Installation was easy with the included template and the holder feels sturdy attached to the wall. No wiggling. Easy to change toilet paper roll as the middle portion of the holder simply hinges up. Don't need to take out the middle portion, just hinge up the arm to about 45-degree angle, slip on a new roll, and let the arm fall back into place. Easy! No excuses for the kids not to change the roll! Gold finish is very on-trend and muted and it feels like a quality piece.

Nice design and matches other Delta products in the same color. A potential slight issue when change rolls with the design but hasnt given an issue so far.
