Once you get used on how to insert them, they make you absolute deaf, as in the loudest noise you will hear is your own tinnitus/blood flow. Of course you will still here some noise but that is because your head itself will transfer the audio to your inner ear. Speaking of how to insert them, roll them up very tightly till they are as thin as a the end of a cotton swab and insert them so they are in your ear canal where they will expand to fill the cavity, this will take ten seconds or so. You can reuse them a couple of times and clean them easily with some water and soap if they get a bit grubby (probably not recommended). You will notice that over time that you can not easily compress them anymore to, then it is time to switch to a fresh pair.I noticed that my left and right ear canal are slightly different, whilst with my left ear I can insert the plug easily as per the instruction (pull up the ear), my right ear requires me actually to pull my ear lobe down to easily slide the compressed plug in.

Sadly, as others have written these are not as good as the original plugs. They're much softer, are prone to popping out/ losing their seal and can be a fiddle to set. You have to very quick at pinching the tips and positioning them in your ear canal; when you're tired this can be a 'faff' after a couple of minutes of 'pop-out' attempts.The original ones would be great for a couple of days then as they softened up they lost their quality so I would move onto a fresh pair. The new plug design has the density of a pair of originals that have been worn a few days.

Why would you want to change something for the worse???, the new version is very poor, I have been using these for years but not any more, the new version is made of a foam that is less dense and does not seem to be half as good as the old ones, also its much longer. The only reason I can think of for this change is cost saving. Bad Move Hearos, customer has gone elsewhere!!!.

I had purchased these earplugs before and found them amazing both in comfort and their ability to block sounds so when I ran out I immediately ordered more. However what I received was different than before. Along with new packaging, the plugs themselves are a different shape, and seem to be made out of a slightly different material.While they still block sound out spectacularly, their comfort level has drastically dropped, to the point I can no longer wear them.I'd say that if you are looking for a set of earplugs to use every now and then for a short period of time, then this is the product for you. But, if like me, you need to use them for sleeping everyday, then I would not recommend these.

I have used these for years. They stopped moderate snoring sounds. However this recent version is smaller in size than the old one. May be more comfortable than the old one but not as effective in stopping snoring as the old version. I have used other brands but found this brand better for snoring.
