Brilliant read

This is a must buy for new parents, especially first-time parents. I found this book so helpful and insightful. It lines up with how I want to raise my son and helped me with concepts and ideas I was not aware of but made it easier for me to deal with difficult periods and helped me to seek solutions other than spanking which is what I grew up on

I love the approach advocated by this book. According to it, the basis of discipline should be: unconditional love, respect, clear boundaries, an understanding of the child's level of development, and the ability to make a clear distinction between the child's needs and wants. I don't think there is a better approach! The book explains its philosophy along with stories as illustrations. A great book for parents and grandparents of toddlers.
