Accurate balance at an affordable price
Bought this for coins. As most of my weighing would be below 50g I was looking for scales in the 50-100g range. I would have been happy with one measuring to the nearest 10mg, but most scales in this bracket weigh to 3 decimal places which, I suppose, does give me the option for other uses. I chose Kubei after reading the ratings and the fact that it does not seem to be replicated under different brand names and prices. The manufacturer also states a margin of error (± 0.003g), unlike other brands under £30, which suggests it has confidence in its product. So have I made a good choice?First of all, the unit is smaller than I imagined, about smart phone size although a little thicker and lighter. The Perspex pan cover clicks down securely and should not come open by accident. The scales also come with a drawstring-type carry pouch and a lifetime exchange guarantee, which is not mentioned in the product description, and suggests the manufacturer has confidence in the durability of the scales.I first used them without calibration because the manufacturer says to only calibrate with the supplied 10g weight if necessary, whatever that means. Most laboratory scales have a built in spirit level to maximise accuracy, so I used a wood-working spirit level in two directions to make sure my surface was level. Anyway, out of the box the 10g standard weight consistently weighed between 10.015g and 10.019g. Because the manufacturer does not state what class the calibration weight conforms to, I did not know whether the weight was inaccurate or the scales were out, so I decide to calibrate the scales with a M1 standard weight. I could not justify the expense of buying a higher class. Kubei scales allow calibration with 10, 50 or 100g (you cannot use anything less than 10g for calibration). So I purchased a 50g OIML Class M1 weight, which would cover the weighing range I was most interested in. When I calibrated with this, I found that the supplied 10g weight was now measuring exactly 10g. So far, so good.To measure the reproducibility of the scales, I weighed first the 50g calibration weight and then the supplied 10g weight once each day over 15 days until I had a total of 15 weighings, switching the scales on and off between each weight and waiting a few seconds until the displayed weight was stable. I used the upturned ABS weighing boat as a base to weigh on, to avoid wear to the weights and the chrome-plated pan. At the same time, I measured some mg weights I was able to borrow (either M1 or F2 spec – not sure which), a one crown coin weighing approximately 28.3g and three crowns weighing approx 84.7g. All weighings were done at an ambient temperature of 68-71ºC in a closed room away from radiators. I chose to use the draught shield only for the small weights. On four occasions, the 50g weight was measuring up to 100mg under or over, so when this occurred I recalibrated without recording the weight and then continued with the other weights. Results were as follows: Wt (mean (g) ± SD): 50 ± 0; 10 ± 0; 1.0001 ± 0.0004; 0.5003 ± 0.0006; 0.2004 ± 0.0005; 0.10007 ± 0.0003; 0.049 ± 0.001; 0.02 ± 0.001; 0.009 ± 0.0008. One crown: 28.264 ± 0.002; three crowns: 84.665 ± 0.007Conclusions: The scales seem to be accurate for most everyday uses. There was more variability with the crown coin weights. I would recommend that the chosen calibration weight is always used first before measuring something, to ensure that the scales are still weighing accurately. If you want something more accurate, you need an analytical balance.

Not as expected
The media could not be loaded. Accuracy is fine but material quality is not as I expected. When turned on it turn off sometimes immediately. When charging battery indicator doest not show up. It says it can configure to auto turn off after 60/120/180 seconds but it seem to me it doesn't even work.P.S.After using for a 2/3 months now it keep restarting and hard to measure anything. I don't think it has a rechargeable battery inside. Anyway it doesn't recharge. Not worth at all.

Great 0.001 gram scale for the money
I purchased this to replace a cheaper set of 0.01g scales that were acting erratically when measuring flavourings for vaping. Even when using a 10ml bottle and taring, sometimes the scale would not register 5-10 drops of PG flavoured liquid which weighed over 0.01g. This resulted in failed recipes and wasted solutions.Going down to 0.001g I can now mix 5ml sample recipes with ease, something that was beyond the previous scales. The big plus points of these scales are you can turn off the power saving feature and they don't need separate batteries as they are rechargeable. These are extremely sensitive though, any draught will affect the reading particularly with flat objects which act like an aeroplane wing.Overall though, very pleased with them, while not particularly rugged, they are well made and easy to operate. Just ignore the terrible instructions that don't make sense. The backlight turns off automatically after a few seconds and you cannot adjust that setting, even with the power saving completely disabled. Probably a useful feature, as the scales arrive uncharged so you need to charge them for 90-120 minutes before use. You can use them plugged in to a USB supply, but this will effect their accuracy.Edited: Feb 2023Discovered a fault in that the scales will not measure beyond 10g without displaying an "EEEE" message. Contacted the seller who was very helpful and quickly provided a refund without fuss.

Mostly accurate around 10mg, with some work
I am using this to measure medication in the 5mg-10mg range with 1mg precision. For the money this is great value, even if it's a bit of work to actually get 1mg precision.I think I've mostly figured it out by now.If you put something on below 5mg, it'll round to 0.If you add a few mg after it has settled, it'll ignore it.It also seems to round if it's near a multiple of a gram (e.g. something around 1-2mg with the provided 10g calibration weight will report 10g).It'd be more useful if it didn't try to 2nd guess its own sensor. With some trickery however, I can get it to measure sufficiently accurately. My usual approach is to put on the hopper without tare, and work from there. You may need to remove everything and put it all back on again, or put something else on, let it settle, and remove it again so it doesn't remember what the previous weight was. There's also a few mg worth of linearity and repeatability issues, which are inconsistent.

you Pay cheap you get cheap
seems not be very precise and the materials made of are cheep value, I like though the cable charging but I would only use as a back up and always double checking, keeping that in mind I think the price is low for a precision scale , so provably make sense the pour quality

Accurate and got the job done
The beauty in this product is it very simply does the job. I needed to use this to weigh out medicine and have had a bad time with other micro-scales where it does not tend to be accurate. This product however got the measurements bang-on. I also love how it is very portable and comes with a bag to allow me to carry it around, as well as a dispensing dish to allow me to easily dispense the medicine. It looks great as well with the blue LED screen. I would recommend.
