Great gift for a new homeowner. I bought it for my brother in law and he has said it works perfectly and makes great quality toast. Toasts evenly and does not burn easy. It has a nice look in the kitchen and seems like it is built well. This was cheaper than in the box stores making it a great value.

The biggest differentiator is the sturdiness of the toaster. It does not tip over when pushing down the lever like other mid-range toasters do. The buttons and heat-level-knob make it easy to really know what is going on. Quality clicking with the buttons and knob, and a light up “cancel” button! Toasts bread evenly and makes the perfect soft, yet crunchy toast; even with frozen toast. I can’t believe it was only about $40. Its the perfect size slots as well, not too big/ not too small.

It's a toaster. It toasts bread. It doesn't toast evenly, but I have yet to find a toaster that does. It looks nice on my kitchen counter and the cancel button is a nice feature. It's easy to clean the crumbs out of the toaster and it has a wide range of settings, depending on how one prefers their toast. I'm happy with my purchase and would purchase it again.

So far so good toasts nice and evenly. The bagel setting works awesome. Straightforward and simple. Works are supposed to. I like that you can feel it click every time you turn the knob so you know exactly what setting you have it on by counting the clicks and you don't have to try to line up a line with numbers.

Excellent toaster and cools down very quickly, which is great when you have 10 cats who think toasters are fun toys. Simple to use, not too many stupid buttons and settings either. I mean, I'm toasting something, not making a four start meal.

I had purchased a toaster at another store and it turned out to be so cheap and terrible. You had to unplug it to turn it off and the quality was awful. I like this GE toaster. It isn't complex. Of course the first time you use a toaster you get that horrible electrical smell but by day two it was gone. Has settings for bagel and frozen. Also has a dial for how toasted you want your item. I've been using Pop Tarts on setting 2 and this has been perfect. Gets the Pop Tarts hot and gooey with no burning. And you can leave it plugged in without setting a fire.

Doesn't toast consistently. Rather light and somewhat flimsy construction, though still usable.

This isn't the fanciest toaster I've ever owned, but it may be the nicest. It's very consistent with how it toasts things, it has nice wide slots, and it's held up well to fairly heavy home use.My only complaint is that it tends to overcook bagels on the bagel setting, so I have to remember to turn the knob to a lighter setting. It's a bit of a weird thing, since if I don't hit the bagel button it doesn't overdo them. It's easy enough to just turn the knob when I put in a bagel, but it's a bit of an annoyance that I have to do that.Still, after a lifetime's worth of toasters that would just randomly burn toast, this one's been reliable and consistent.
