i like it but its not clean from inside , you need to clean it again before you use it

So coming back to update my review.After putting probably 2k photos through this lens I am Inlove!Build quality is top notch. The aperture ring clicks into place smoothly with nice detents to lock it in place. The click feedback is nice.The focus ring is buttery smooth with imo the perfect resistance. Lens hood was very tight locking in position at first but it's worn in a bit and fits much better.The lens cap kind of drives me nuts in the sense the finger grips are angled in a way that when you pinch the locks to release the cap there is no grip on your fingers and it shoots off.Optics are insanely good! This is the best lens I've used in a long time. As long as you do your part focusing images come out tack sharp! The clarity, colors and exposure is amazing.Wide open the contrast is a bit weak and depending on lighting there is some pretty wicked chromatic aberations. However it seems the moment you come off of f1.4 it's exponentially better and by f2.8 the lens is a monster to shoot with.I read someone here say you cannot use a filter. That is not true, it has 72mm filter threads.I'm sure copy to copy vary with these lenses but if you're lucky enough to get one like mine you're in for a good time!

This lens is absolutely awesome! The image quality is top notch, and the build quality like good old vintage lenses. For that price, you just can't find anything better. At f1.4 lowlight is not a problem anymore! Ideal for astrophotography as well. It's my third Rokinon lens, and they've done it again. I don't mind manual focus. Especially when the focus ring is smooth buttery like this.I highly recommend this lens.

This lens is INCREDIBLY crisp. Yes it's a manual focus, but if your a professional photographer or videographer this wont be a problem for you. I have always used manual focus so I have didn't have a problem. I really enjoy having a manual aperture ring as it frees up another custom button on my a7ii. I do a lot of video work and this lens allows me to get very deep perspective shots. I film a lot of ambient street scenes and the depth that this lens can achieve is amazing. While shooting at night, this lens sucks up and uses every bit it light it can find. The F1.4 makes it incredibly fast in low light. I chose this over the CINE lens as I don't have a follow focus rig and I was worried I wouldn't notice the aperture switch on the CINE since it is de clicked. THE LENS HOOD IS TIGHT! I have seen nothing but hate over the lens hood, but they must have fixed it because might snaps on and there is no way it will come loos. Overall this is an amazing lens and I will be buying the 35mm F1.4 as soon as possible!

Como aspirante a fotógrafo amateur, este es mi primer objetivo manual y fijo. Lo compré deseando obtener un objetivo lumioso, hermosos desenfoques en retratos, y suficientemente largo para poder fotografiar a mi hija en sus presentaciones desde cierta distancia; y por supuesto, que fuera aceptablemente nítido. Después de unas cuantas tomas, creo que puedo decir que cumplió perfectamente todas mis espectativas. Es grande y pesado,pero aunque pudiera verse como una desventaja, a mi me ayuda a sostener de manera más firme la cámara, incluso me ha sido más facil evitar los horizontes caidos tan comunes en mis tomas con objetivos mas pequeños y ligeros.En cámaras mirrorles como mi Fuji X-t10, es muy facil enfocar aun a f1.4; se encuadra, se mueve el punto de enfoque al sujeto, con la lupa y el focus peaking activado se encuentra el foco muy rápido, se dispara, y listo. Obviamente será mas lento que con un autofocus, pero al menos a mi me ha resultado muy divertido el pequeño reto de encuadrar y enfocar.Lo único negativo es que el parasol no parece de buena calidad, queda muy holgado y se siente como que se va a desenroscar y caerse. Por otra parte, la caja del objetivo llegó con un golpe bastante notable aunque de momento no parece que haya afectado al objetivo.

Adquirí este lente como un punto intermedio, dado que el presupuesto no era suficiente para adquirir el SIGMA de la linea ART, opté por este lente con mis reservas.Me encuentro sumamente sorprendido por la calidad del lente en todos sus aspectos, trataré de resumir los puntos de la siguiente manera: PRO's: 1. Su construcción es robusta, de excelentes materiales, se nota la calidad en el cuerpo del lente. 2. La imagen es super nítida, me sorprende la nitidez que tiene disparando a f1.2-1.8,ni se diga con el diafragma más cerrado. 3. La relación calidad y precio del lente me parece excelente, es una super opción para el rango intermedio de un 85mm. 4. Los detalles están bastante cuidados, el empaque por su exterior parece un tanto sencillo, pero el lente viene perfectamente cuidado con unos soportes plásticos que amortiguan los golpes, así como el instructivo y demás accesorios, me parecen cuidados! Bien ahí! CONTRAS: 1. Por la construcción del lente, resulta sumamente pesado, lo utilizo montado en el cuerpo de mi CANON 5D MARK III y bueno, en total debo llevar unos 3-4 kilos en la mano, cansa. 2. No se si definirlo como un punto negativo, pero si es algo a considerar, el lente es de enfoque manual, por lo que se requiere tacto y destreza para conseguir el enfoque en los puntos que nos interesa, sobre todo con aperturas de diafragma muy abierto, sin embargo, si adquieres la versión con el chip AE, la cosa cambia, porque podremos utilizar los puntos de enfoque de nuestra cámara para obtener una confirmación del foco en el visor, y por consiguiente tener mucho mas control de ello. SE LOS RECOMIENDO MUCHISIMO EN ESTA VERSION. Les dejo tres imagines de muestra utilizando diferentes aperturas y podemos comprobar la nitidez del lente. En conclusión, si quieres un lente de gama media, sin duda alguna, este Rokinon, es la mejor alternativa.
