Can tbis broach steel?

Yes, I have broached mild steel.

What size is this set

keyway broaches: 1/16"-A, 3/32"-A, & 1/8"-A. Bushing Diameters: 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", & 7/16". Thanks. 1/2"

What size arbor press is needed? Most 1 ton presses I'm seeing have about 4.8-4.9" inches of clearance in the press. Would these work?

The broach itself is 5 inches long. Given some room for the part being cut, 4.9 inches of clearance won’t work. I use a hydraulic press, overkill but it works.
