I have a 2015 Touchbar 15" Macbook Pro that I use for media editing and thanks to covid gaming. I needed something for Laptop+Monitor display as well as switching quickly my usb wireless mouse/keyboard from my work PC to the Mac on the same desk. This dongle is great, I started with a cheap usb C to standard USB and in time it bent and fell apart, next I got a more compact dongle for when I started to need two screens but the HDMI i/o was glitchy and the cable itself seemed to be intermittent after a month or two. After desperately looking for a dongle that's durable, reliable and has the amazing feature of Ethernet + VGA (wifi and HDMI are vastly overrated for most laptop use), this dongle has sufficed!I can't say the cable part is as durable as the others since I did not want to take the risk a 3rd time with it hanging precariously from my laptop stand like some pictured in the reviewa velow, so instead I got a short USB C extender so that gravity would lessen the strain on the Dongle you are looking at here.The Ethernet, USB and VGA ports are excellent - honestly I don't recommend HDMI to a standard monitor, just stick to VGA (the more adapters you use between any dongle and monitor just creates more issues relating to other cables, for example I've used USB C dongle > hdmi to vga adapter > to VGA monitor... just get a decent VGA cable and trust the VGA port in this dongle to serve it's purpose - it won't let you down, and unless you have an actual TV screen as your other monitor you cannot tell the difference between HDMI or VGA to a standard computer screen.)Hope that helps, this thing works thank God, your search is finally over, isn't it such a ballache jeeze - take care of yaself

It does exactly what it’s meant to. Which is good for me. Stylish as these things go and from what I could find, the best package that included an Ethernet cable. Has added a host of versatility to my MacBook Air (USB-C only X2). Now have peripherals, wired internet, monitor and easy access to camera memory cards. Highly recommended

This would have been a great item, however, it would only display video through one of the outputs at a time,It could have been a mistake on my part, but I couldn’t find any help any where,

Very useful USBC dock - it has almost every ports you ever need:HDMI,VGA, LAN, USB ports, even audio jack and aslo the memory card slots.The PD (PowerDelivery port) is presented also.You can connect your USBC cable from charger to it and the connected device starts charging itself - so everything is connected with ONE cable :-) Awesome !The very good feature is, that the LAN connector is fullsize with indicator lights !The dock works wvery well with every laptop, Mac with USBC and also wiht android smartphones.THe PC and Macs are clear, but what you might do not know is:when you connect it to Adnroid amsrtphones (with newer Android OS) it provide you to use a desktop mode on the connected monitor/TV/projector.The desktop is quite similar to normal dsktop on win or Linux.Just run the program and ot works in a windows, so you can easily run and see more progs on the screen.Everything works just fine, messages, gallery, web browser.The work is very comfortable.Anyway, one of the good USBC docks.

This hub is a handy little gadget that can convert numerous connections. Sadly though, I discovered that it can't convert Ethernet data through HDMI or USB.I had to wait before doing this review as I was waiting for a USB C to USB 3.0 converter / adapter to arrive, so I could connect the Ethernet connection to a TV via USB. Sadly, that failed!So, I tried to connect the Ethernet connection via HDMI, which should have done the job but that too dismally failed. The TV has an Ethernet Port but it is broken and the options available were to get it repaired (expensive), replace the TV (expensive) or connect to the Internet through an adapter / hub (cheap). The cheap option has failed. However, I do have an ace card to play, I've just ordered a Smart BluRay DVD Player so I can connect the internet through it's Ethernet Port and connect to the TV directly via HDMI.This hub does work as when connected to a USB Port it indicates that there is power to the USB Port. When connected to a USB C Port and Ethernet there is Internet available, it just doesn't like any adapters.For the quality, build and price it has received a 4* rating from me simply because the one job I needed it to do is the one thing it couldn't do.I do recommend this hub, even though it has let me down but for many other uses it will be a great little gadget.
