ViewSonic Elite XG270Q , overall, a great monitor.
I've been wanting to upgrade monitors for awhile. Have been looking for something, with a nice balance of gaming and productivity features as I game, and I'm also into photography. Took a chance on the ViewSonic Elite XG270Q and I'm not disappointed.FIrst off, I really like the overall styling and design of the monitor itself. It's understated and doesn't scream gaming monitor. The only branding is the small elite logo and it sort of fades in, so it's not screaming at you as you view the monitor. There is RGB on the back and down firing RGB lights along the bottom bezel. You want to make sure you connect the monitor via USB, and download the Elite Display controller software. This allows you to adjust monitor settings as well as tinker with the RGB settings. Good news is once you use the software to configure the RGB, it's saved to the monitor. So you can use the software once, to setup and never used it again if you like.My copy has no dead pixels and the picture is fairly uniform across the screen. The monitor is detected as G-Sync compatible by my RTX3070. So far in the games I've tried, I haven't noticed any issues with flicker or anything like that. Out of the box color accuracy is ok. Gamers will enjoy it as it's bright and colors are saturated. Since I use this for my photo work as well, I did calibrate it via a Datacolor Spyder 5 to improve color reproduction as best as possible. While not a "pro" grade display for color work, it's excellent though, if you want that mix of gaming and that. I've included some results here, post calibration.

Excellent monitor for the price
This is a great monitor for the money. It has loads of useful features like HDR, built in speakers, multiple visual preset modes, ETC. I haven't used the overclocked refresh rate so mune stays at the native 120 hertz, but this is still plenty fast enough for a casual gamer like myself. If you are looking for a well built, inexpensive monitor with a good feature set then this is a great choice.

Looks beautiful and no problems so far
I've used this for a few months and it works great, hdr hi definition videos on YouTube looks jaw droppingly gorgeous. The best monitor I've ever had. So far no dead pixels*update, I have been using this for 1 year and still no problems, the nicest looking monitor I've ever used. the color and clarity is so beautiful. if this isn't oled than I can't wait to see what that'll be like. no regrets with this at all

Nice, bright and featured rich monitor for gaming, movies and editing (Would be great if flawless)
This review is for the XG270Q. I purchased 3. They arrived on time and the packaging was undamaged, although one came with packing tape sealing it the other 2 didn't.The good:The monitors are bright, the color space and depth accurate and good, and 2K resolution well done and you get 165hz through the Display port. 144hz thru the HDMI. Would've been nice if it was 165hz as well. However, as an FYI, when connecting to the HDMI ports you can get 4K@60hz (sometimes it happens and they don't market it for its full capabilities) which is great for photo editing and even console gaming. There is matte finish on the display. The build quality is good, and the base is not too big, nice looking and sturdy. The monitors can be easily raised, tilted, swiveled, and rotated. The added features for a headset hanger, mouse cable guides (which there are 2, one on each side), RGB on the back and underneath the bottom bezel, (which could be brighter maybe but I haven't really tested any good situations for it yet) and USB hub are nice touches that enhance your gaming or desk setup, helping to keep your peripherals organized and look spiffy. In the case of the hub it adds more USB ports for your setup. The HDR is there, not HDR1000 ( this monitor is HDR400) but you notice the difference. It is G-Sync compatible, as my laptop notified me that a G-Sync compatible display was attached and you enable it Nvidia settings. This is just as good as monitors that have G-sync only modules, since it allows for Free sync as well and is less expensive. The bezels on top and sides are narrow and the bottom is not too bad.Overall I like what these monitors have to offer a lot. The On screen menu is fairly easy to use; wish they used another interface to navigate the menu than the joystick knob manufacturers are fond of using. The Bad:2 monitors have 1 stuck pixel each (not dead pixels) and the other one has 2 stuck pixels. They are not dead center but close to it. So QC/QA isn't 100% and these are relatively expensive monitors and Viewsonic is a reputable company known for nice and quality displays. There are no other physical issue with them, and the light bleeding is pretty close to non-existent but now I am wondering with what ifs. Do more pixels get stuck or are there other issues that may arise. So check everything out before your 30 days expire, which mine hasn't yet. And keep the boxes in case something does arise before the 30 days. So 4 stars. The other issue, which is common with many monitors is that when certain settings are enabled other settings are blocked from customizing. Like I said before I haven't gone through all the settings but it would nice to be able to change settings slightly when selecting a certain mode or enabling Adaptive sync. I'm sure they optimize it but everyone has different eyes. This isn't a deal breaker though. This a great monitor if it's flawless.

Very good 2K monitor so far
So far this has been a good replacement for the Dell 1080p monitor I had and destroyed by accident. I don't do any gaming but the VESA mount, resolution, price, and performance met all my needs. I turned off the distracting lighting feature on the back and bottom. Those must be a thing for gamers. Lighter than the Dell and the picture quality is nice. Liking the increase in resolution of the 27 in model.

Best Gaming Display I’ve ever used!!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this monitor in January 1/2021 from Amazon for $479. The price has since gone up to $499! Definitely hard to find quality monitors since the start of the pandemic. This was the best option for me because I have a PS5, Series X, and a gaming PC (GTX 1080 founders edition). For PC I set it to 144hz. For my PS5 it’s set to 4k 60hz, and for my Series X It’s set to 1440p 120hz. The versatility and quality of this monitor is unmatched for the price. It supports 2 HDMI (2.0)and 1 Display Port (1.4) for inputs.

Awesome! No complaints.
Review is specifically for the ViewSonic Elite XG270Q. This is a great monitor, and I've had quite a few (ASUS, LG, Dell). Super clean, bright panel - no hotspots, flashlighting, or cloudiness. Speakers are passable, but thats the case for 99% of all monitors out there. Note that this is the XG270Q model (currently $479), with Freesync/G-SYNC compatibility (G-SYNC works without issues in multiple games). Unless you need 240Hz @ 1440p (i.e., competitive FPS pros), at this price it can't be beat.

Awesome monitor, best in class performance
I have been looking into getting new monitor for a while and narrowed down my choice between this monitor and and Asus Strix monitor. Both offered similar features and performance. What finally cinched the deal was the incredible price Amazon reduced this monitor to and with no interest financing for a year I decided to pick this one up. This monitor is unbelievable. Picture quality, color dynamics and gaming performance is incredible. The monitor is also very ruggedly built, sturdy and high quality with very easy to adjust monitor tilt, swivel, height and rotation.(I have never owned a monitor where these feature operate so smoothly and effortlessly.) OSD screen controls are also easy to figure out and accessible. RGB lighting on the back is another cool feature and for those of you with Razer RGB gaming gear. The monitors RGB effects can be controlled using Razer's Synapse 3 appvand synced with your other Razer gear. Another big bonus with this monitor is the 3 year warranty!

Superb response time, sturdy build quality,
This is review for XG270q. 2k@170hz monitor. Response time is probably the best. No overshoot, blur or anything. Its on par with the current GOAT LG 27GP850. Very sharp and crisp monitor. I had 4k monitor before this and Sony x75 TV. This monitor is better than both in terms of image quality, yes tad bit sharpness is gone due to it being 2k but colors pop. Due to high response time 3D ness of the objects is maintained. For example in fur each hair will look separate no blur at all. Whites are white and not yellow or blue as in a lot of monitors nowadays.Input lag is very low. I noticed when I had a far better shooting and slashing experience in GTA 5 and witcher 3. I felt like I became a better gamer. I was constantly ranking 3-5 in most Valorant death matches and I am a very average gamer when it comes to esports.Build quality is very good. Stand is worth 4-5k. Ambient light are good if you are into it. . However if you need it they are there and fully customisable. There is a slight yellow tinge to white on this monitor. This i later realize is that monitor color is actually more accurate since 6500k white point is slight warm. It can be made for whitish by putting green on 90 and red on 95 and blue on 100 using full color control. One more the panel in this monitor is the same panel is an updated version of panel used in Aurous fi27q, Acer Xv 272u and vg271 use a lower variant of the same panel.HDR400 is there. I found it useful in HDR movies. Hdr 400 is well implemented here to the extent possible. But don't assume OLED or miniled like contrast. However, SDR on this monitor is much better. It's sharper, more accurate and surprisingly has better blacks.Edit 1: It seems the monitor XG270q is sold out and not available. ViewSonic should bring it back or its successor. Since this monitor was pretty good.

Great price for quality.
Extremely well made, be sure to change your refresh rate in windows as it does default to 60Hz not 165.

Well specced, well featured, but gripes n caveats present
3x USB A 3.0 -> USB B 3.0 Hub,2x HDMI1x DP165 Hz, G-Sync workingBrightness is real good for indoor use, I usually keep it at 50%Speakers are better than laptop speakers, but obv can't beat a standalone speaker.Pic 4: RGB effects are cool, you can sync light along with music. My unit seems to have one dysfunctional RGB LED.. Minor gripe..UPDATE: after contacting ViewSonic support, I got an exchange and seems to be working as expected.A functional customer support is to be much appreciated in such small brands. Builds up customer trust.Input switches automatically.. When no other input is present.Pic 1: Backlight bleed is present, but is noticeable only in HDR mode and on a black screen.Pic 2: When viewing at my normal 40% brightness, which I use especially at night times, barely noticeable.Pic 3: size comparison vs a 14" laptopIncluded cables:-USB B to A cable for upstream USB hub-Power adapter and two power cords [Australian angular plug (type I) and our Indian 3 point plug]-DP cable
