Can you safely run the griddle plate on both sides of the grill? The original Weber Griddle states you cannot with theirs.

I flip mine about every other use to burn off and clean them. No problems as a result.

What's on the back side of this griddle? Is it anothe flat top or something different?

One side is flat, one side is ridged on ours.

Will this work with weber q1400 electric grill?

I have these on a Weber Q2000 and they work great. I would check the surface size of your 1400 and make the determination if they will fit. Also not sure why you would want these on an electric grill doubt the grill gets hot enough for them to do what they do
