Bally does it right
These shorts earned a review on their own. 1: I already liked them over all my other stretchy shorts. 2: I am short and these fit and accentuate my curvy frame JUST how I want them to. 3: this reason should be number 1 really-I went hiking with my husband and 21 yr old daughter. We took to the smallest mountain in town after we had taken the dogs to the sand dunes. We made it to the top, took some pics of the view and headed back down. Needless to say I was last in line behind our daughter, dogs and the husband who in his defense offered me his hand in getting down due to loose rocks. But I said “no I fall down on my own, I don’t want to take you down with me!!” So we continue on down and as we pass the half way mark rocks start sliding under my feet. I catch myself a couple times but hubby decided to stop every few feet and look back to watch for me. And of course as he turns away while we are chatting I step on what I stupidly assume is a sturdy rock. But I was sadly mistaken, alas. I slipped quickly and slammed straight down on my back and gluteous maximus. It HURT. I cried out in pain, and my hubby and 2 oldest dogs came over to my rescue. They helped me down the rest of the way and we made it home to a heating pad and ibuprofen. Later as I gingerly undressed I hesitantly checked out my shorts thinking for sure they would be torn or snagged from the jagged rocks. But not even a thread was harmed during the event. A little dusty but all was well in the world of Bally. Now, I have some polka dot bruises from the rocks I landed on but even better is my now deemed “lucky” shorts were not tainted. Thanks BALLY!!!!

Not for the short waisted body type
I am short and I'm short waisted; seems manufacturers think we're all long waisted. So regardless of size, Large or Large, the waist will roll over. Really like the pockets. Took too long to get!

Perfect for the gym
These shorts are high waisted, which is great as they hold all my fat rolls inside. The fit snug but no pressure. The length is exactly right (mid thigh). I love that they have large pockets that fit my cellphone.I love them so much that I ordered another pair!!

Good for the price!
Not perfect, but appropriate for the price! I paid 11-ish dollars. The top elastic band is a little too tight when compared to the fit of the rest of the shorts, so it pushes into your skin a bit and creates a muffin top lol. The top falls down a bit so that might be annoying to keep pulling it up, but I just needed a basic pair of black workout shorts w/ pockets so these are fine! :) I'm 5' tall, 108 lbs for reference.

Not exactly what I was expecting
Overall and for price these were good. The material was thinner than expected so they are not really compression shorts…or atleast not as compression as other brands I’ve owned. However I still like them and wear them often.

Fantastic, but runs small
Great shorts, my fiance loves them, not see through at all. We ordered 2 pairs, and the grey runs smaller than the black (or maybe it's just our 2 pairs) so consider ordering a size up
